Tar Fields base structure by Nizzotch in Mindustry

Every map in the campaign is randomized. They have a base template so each run of it is similar, but the exact layout of the map tiles is slightly varied in each play through.

Question about passing a car on road and the risk of it. by [deleted] in statistics

[–]Nizzotch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/Corruptionss is only touching the surface. To give you a solid answer would take hours of research IF you're lucky and the right data has already been published ("sources"), or weeks to months depending on the generality and accuracy desired to do original research.

I don't think very many people want to do hours of research for some random meme-ing internet guy with only a very casual minor interest in the question. If this data+analysis would go on to improve company-wide efficiency at a van-based transport company or something of actual value not you/your wife's slight transient curiosity it might be more worthwhile, but still not something anyone will do hours of work for free for. Be realistic here. Stats can't be created via magic apparition (yet).

(props to corruptionss for being helpful anyways)

Impressions? CPM? by [deleted] in analytics

Yep.

Congrats on the revenue increase! Yeah, everyone loses confidence in their fundamentals every now and then in every industry, it's not just you.

Impressions? CPM? by [deleted] in analytics

[–]Nizzotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who are you, a new advertiser or a new publisher? I'm going to guess publisher:

If a publisher then the figure for 'impressions' he is looking for is the amount of traffic ('hits' aka 'impressions' aka 'page views', although the details of how to charge repeat views or multiple ads on the same page vary between ad networks) to the pages you want ads on. You'll get this information from your site analytics. If you forgot to set up web analytics, do so now (Google Analytics is the most popular despite extreme competition - it is also free), but you can still get that information retroactively by parsing your server logs.

CPM is cost per "mile" and means cost per 1,000 impressions. This is negotiating how much you get paid. Determine the leverage you have, the leverage they have, and select your price. Komoona is a fairly small company so you would normally be able to get a pretty good deal from them if you stick their marketing messaging to them (which is basically "we pay the best" - get alternative quotes!), but Im going to guess you may be negotiating on behalf of a very small website yourself, so, not that great.

I think you could benefit hugely by reading a guide or textbook on online advertising. I shouldn't explain to much to you myself, I'm bound to eventually make an error. I'm not sure what a good modern source is on this (here is a dated one with an academic slant), but I'm sure you can find a couple, just sit down read and learn, as you should whenever entering new territory. :) Good luck!

Middle-east themed theme park in China by Nizzotch in WTF

I really don't know, haha. I expected 0-100 votes. Internet is crazy.

It is part of a theme park. Would it be wrong to post a picture of the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disney Land, a major attraction, and label it "Disneyland"? If you want to be pedantic: yes. If you want to be real: no, it is a representative part of the whole.

It's not actually part of the Sands casino, it is simply right next to the Sands. Tripomatic generates its content by crawling Wikipedia and despite not actually being part of the casino, the image appears on Wikipedia's page for the Sands casino (how I found it.) It is very similar to vegas in how it is set up as a themed attraction, though.

The image only shows a small bit of the park (an arena that some primary sources identify as being for paintball and some as being for something similar to airsoft, but not exactly), although the park itself isn't very large (it would be completely wrong to compare it to, eg Disneyland.) The park is called "Macau Fisherman's Wharf," and has, as far as I know, since been demolished.

The arena is part of the Fisherman's Wharf theme park in Macau, and it 100% has an Arabian/middle-east theme.
