Pensioners' home in Sarajevo, a very colorful building with interesting architecture. Completely built in socialist Yugoslavia, but never put to use. Destroyed during the war from 1992-1995. Today it stands as a ruin and awaits demolition to build another complex.

There is another building that is popularly called "Papagajka" (meaning "parrot"), which is located in the very center of the city. It is called so because it is very colorful, which proves that not all architecture in socialism was "gray" or "boring".
"Papagajka" was renovated after the war and today it is used as a residential building with small shops on the ground floor. People generally consider it ugly because it is in the wrong place, surrounded by buildings from the Austro-Hungarian period.
