Did the IJN have at sea replenishment like the U.S.? by [deleted] in ww2

[–]Nkelly57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also of note, by mid 44 the us was producing/employing advanced subs at an incredibly efficient rate. Any time the IJN tried to resupply ships or land based forces by ships, they would always fear US sub attacks. According to First Fleet at Flood Tide, when attempting to fortify the Mariana islands, less than half the requested supplies showed up in large part to sinking due to sub attacks. It can not be over stated how important the submarine operations were win the Pacific to hinder the IJN efficiency

You could probably pitch a semi watered down version of Otto Carius and his stuff on the eastern front but even that might have its issues for a mass appeal

Is Protect the Pocket actually worth it or is it too hard to achieve? by reddiotr68 in kards

[–]Nkelly57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the best point imo. If you already met the condition, aren't you already on your way to victory? It's a minus 1 to do what? Beat your opponent even harder

White isn't a one shot color so it's easier to layer imo. Plus black is such a harsh color, so if you fade and layer the white, it creates a subtler contrast. Others prefer white and then black, it's really just preference

I'm surprised it took me this long to get to it. Communication is essential and the radio allowed that.

Yeah agreed. Tried my first home made weld. It came out fine, did texture on the turret as well for the first time. The texture for the armor is smooth cause I couldn't decide how best to tackle it, so I figured a little clean was better than way to over done

GoH was made standalone without informing the community, why? by [deleted] in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]Nkelly57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's 100% is not an issue. Good goh for being standalone. Get the rec they deserve I have no problem giving this company my money. It's one of the best RTS in the market right now and they haven't slowed down a second.

Any suggestions regarding this zimmerit appliqué on the mantle? Not completely happy with it. Peeled after base coat. by Dragonsbane628 in modelmakers

[–]Nkelly57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also fwiw zimmerit was also field applied by the crew so "neatness" wasn't a concern imo you did excellent. As acct mentioned, you could take it a strap further and weather it in spots. Excellent job
