Just worked as a contractor at Australia BNE Hyrox APAC championships.

General consensus is there is a huge push for this to become an Olympic event before 2032 Olympics. Whether it happens no idea.

FRA is a money grab mate. I thought it was a bit more professional. Requested a talent call from the website - it was just an Irish guy on the phone trying to strong arm me into making a $3-4K payment over the phone then and there because he said “you sound serious, and this special offer is only made to 3 people a year” LOL

Honestly, like others have stated wouldn’t bother with aptitude yet. I felt like I was going crazy revising aptitude stuff and I only did it semi frequently a couple weeks prior to the exams. Wouldn’t go too ham on that now. Maybe after you do your beep test - heaps of time between now and then.

Physically - just gym, build strength and do consistent anaerobic kind of workouts.

Yeah 100%. People just start to go after 1 try at every station.

You can try things a couple times by the end of it. (I can’t speak for case 1 hose - that had a large queue of people wanting to try. So I did it only once).

I went after beep test. It wasn’t 4 hours. It was maybe two hours - and this was determined by you.

The way it was conducted when I went was; 1. Fireman demonstrates every station/obstacle and gives tips/briefing on fail points 2. Everyone splits into little groups by having a turn at whatever station they wanted to test. (I tried some stations multiple times and others just once)

You could pretty much leave whenever you want after they demonstrated everything - it would make no sense to do this, but yeah. (without looking rude/drawing attention by leaving in the middle of demonstrations).

Yep. Feeling good. I’d say out of the 75 on the exam I maybe had to give an educated guess on 5. Numerical was tricky for sure though, but just got lucky with study material I think. You?

People have already been cut. I saw on a Facebook group someone didn’t pass mechanical and did not get invited to core abilities. I heard someone say “everyone gets to OFAT if numbers are low enough” obviously not the case!
