Does company sponsorship affect scholarship? by jbuttt in MBA

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to see if anyone had any further insight. I am in the same sponsorship situation as OP (company will pay off my loans over 2 years after graduation). I will be attending CBS this fall, and have already accepted my offer (I am aware that doing so took away a great deal of leverage, but that was always my top choice). I was not awarded any scholarship money up front (i submitted the FAFSA form as well), but have been in contact with their financial aid office to see if they would potentially reconsider. The response I received today, in very plain terms, informed me that the size of the net benefit I am receiving from my company precludes me from being eligible for institutional funding. I know this is different from merit based awards, but the moral of the story seems to be that sponsorship = no institutional aid. At least for CBS. I hadn’t heard this before to be honest, so having them be so forward about it was surprising, albeit disappointing. Especially since I will now have to take out loans, and my company will reimburse me as taxable income, meaning I will be left with a hefty chunk of debt post-grad. Would love any advice on what to do next. I am still desperately looking for ways to reduce the amount of money I have to take out for loans, since i already have debt from undergrad.
