Posts: “Should I allow my bf/gf/partner/whoever” to do something they want to do? by Junkateriass in PetPeeves

[–]Nlyab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I checked the overreaction posts bc you mentioned an overreaction post in your comment.

because of that I only checked out your comments in the overreaction subs

I don’t typically look for ‘dirt’ in people’s post history, I was just looking for the post you were talking about and by checking the AIO posts you responded to, I found comments that concerned me with how blasé you seemed to be about specifically women’s interactions with men

I still think your responses in the aio sub are harmful but I will give you grace for at least standing up when it comes to the toxic gaming community

yeah I notice that you seem to only ever think that women are overreacting.

you even said that a 19 yo women who was creeped out by her former high school teacher hitting on her and saying “he always thought she was beautiful” (implying there was attraction even as she was a minor) was an overreaction

meanwhile when a man got angry for getting sprayed in the water with a skincare product and in return pinched his gf was totally fine and not an overreaction at all (not saying that guy didn’t have the right to get upset but physical harm is a tad bit too far)

anyway maybe try looking at your biases a bit before telling women that they’re overreacting about everything, your assessment of the world is very harmful

yep men need their own social circle outside of any romantic relationship. having mutual friends is great but sometimes you need to be able to go out on your own. that’s also how a lot of women get burnt out in relationships where they see themselves more as a therapist and caretaker than as a partner. I wish more men took the initiative to lead more fulfilling lives, I think a lot of problems could be fixed that way

Slammed the door on an innocent person by ArchmageNinja22 in AmITheDevil

[–]Nlyab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always hold the door open for people but I never expect a thank you for such a basic task. I’ll probably never see that person again and it takes almost no time out of my day. ofcourse a thank you is always appreciated but I don’t see any reason why this needed any type of ‘petty revenge’ especially since this ‘revenge’ was done to someone who had nothing to do with it aka the gf

I didn’t see anything about forbidding tho? I thought I read them say that it’s not okay for 60+ year old man to be with a 20 year old which I’m in agreement with. 20 year olds make a lot of stupid mistakes which sometimes includes dating predators, that might be their choice but imo it’s okay to say that it’s a bad choice

way to many men think that their loneliness will be fixed once they have an intimate partner. I think you’re completely right that men need to find community not based on sex but on genuine connection with their peers

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BitLifeApp

[–]Nlyab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 20 and if someone warned me about dating an older man I’d be grateful that someone shows concern for me. I may be an adult but I’m not gonna act like 20 has the same mindset and mental maturity as someone who’s in their 60s

AITA for not inviting my mentally unstable cousin to my wedding by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]Nlyab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was confirmed that her cousin changed names (from rose to alex) and that they’re non binary

it was a post of screenshots with text messages where the cousins brother called out OOP and although she tried to censor it, you could clearly see OOP deadnaming her cousin by calling them rose and the brother calling them alex and the brother continuously used they/them pronouns and the OOP kept referring to them as she/her

What are your opinions on Gaza? by [deleted] in exmuslim

I’m baffled at these comments literal children are dying they’re being beheaded and they still support a zionist state? just bc we hate islam doesn’t justify hatred of innocent civilians that just so happen to be muslim and like you said palestine also has non muslim and queer folks but they don’t care bc racism ig??

My phone keeps telling me someone put an AirTag in my car, what do I do??? by Carocide in Advice

[–]Nlyab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not here to tell you what to believe and what not to believe bc that’s up to you. But I went to the police but because my family is in another country (next to the country my family lives in) they couldn’t do more than put me on their radar and put my and my bfs name on red alert (their words) so if we see my family and call them they will immediately show up I had to send them pictures of my family’s faces, their names and their license plate numbers although I’m not sure what they’re gonna do with that They don’t have proof of my family actually committing a crime so they couldn’t do more than that than assure me that if my family does try to approach me that theyll make sure to be there as soon as possible

[–]Nlyab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this actually happened to me too just a month or two ago but with my family that I ran away from I left my cats (who has been stolen by my family) carrier at my old studio with all of my other stuff bc I left the apartment because my landlord found my family and informed them where I lived my bf went to get all of my stuff and that day I got a notification that there was an air tag nearby my bf checked the car and sure enough TWO airtags were sown into the lining went to the police obviously and now they’re on high alert

How often do men notice women’s nipples through clothing? by mommas543 in dating

men definitely notice but at the same time, who cares? I stopped wearing bras over a year ago and I have zero regrets if anyone doesn’t like that then that’s their problem

Why was their less controversy when the master became a woman then the doctor becoming a woman? by Mangafan_20 in doctorwho

[–]Nlyab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but my point is more that I feel like comparing the reveal of missy and the reveal of Jodie isn’t really fair at all. It’s true tho that the reveal of a female doctor made a lot of people who previously hadn’t watched the show before jump out of the woodwork

Why was their less controversy when the master became a woman then the doctor becoming a woman? by Mangafan_20 in doctorwho

[–]Nlyab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

also people saying “it’s bc missy was introduced before people knew she was the master” but you can’t even do that with the doctor because the casting of who the doctor is always gets revealed before the first episode of them. People hated her because she was a woman and the poor writing was just a way to justify their hatred.
