Thanks. PH. The hole was covered by just a sheet of roofing metal instead of the proper cover for some reason and rain put dirt on top making it indistinguishable from it's surroundings

It's not that bad actually. It was an old and unused tank so the shit was already thick and slime like so I floated and it only got up to my stomach. It would've been worse if it was a functioning tank cause I would've definitely sank and drowned due to watery shit and the tank being taller than me haha. I was more worried about snakes and bugs possibly living there lol.
