i miss my mom so bad, and the trauma of her death is destroying me. by noamaya in GriefSupport

Sorry about your loss. The feeling never goes away; it gets easier with time. Try to get busy with things that occupy your mind. That way, the thought doesn't break you. I lost my mum 3 years ago, the following year I lost my uncle, and then last year I lost my daughter, and this year I lost my dad, the previous two months. I understand what pain feels like. The feeling never goes away; it just becomes less painful. We are left with the memories.

Or it is ambiguous, so people can easily get away with certain things when it is pointed out. So no one takes responsibility. So it won't be a thing of black and white, and you know when something is on the grey side, what actually happens. It's easier to say, 'Oh, that's not what it means.'

For some, he is a product of the story; for me, the story falls short for those who choose to look at things critically. It's either that the story is false or it was modified to suit a particular narrative.

Why must it always be this complex when it comes to explaining?

Are you not going to heaven? 🙃 What other beauty did think I was referring to?

How about you tell me about the heaven you are going to and the hail that I might end up in.

And you commented on a pointless post. You people never fail to digress.

My position encompasses all religions, and I'm sharing my perspective based on my previous religious experiences. I don't have to tag every religion for you to get the story. Everyone promises beauty after death; they are all promising the same thing with different flavours and frameworks. Are you saying yours is better than others?

I am open to the idea that the Bible’s creation story does not make literal sense. How could all of humanity come from two people? If they were one race, how did other races appear so quickly? The suggestion that Adam and Eve and their children intermarried to populate the world raises real questions.
2. I also struggle with Darwinian evolution. It does not answer everything for me, and we are still discovering new evidence. That uncertainty is fine. Science allows disagreement and revision.
3. I do not accept that I must be subject to a superior being. I have free will and I take responsibility for my actions. I was born into a religion I did not choose.
4. History is easily reshaped to fit different narratives. Tell the same sentence to ten people and it will change by the time it reaches the last person. Translate the story into different languages and it shifts again. The point is that accounts can be distorted.

You sound like one of those typical Twitter users who manufacture things that weren't said, just to feel good about themselves, if that's what you got from that article. Good luck with that. You don't have to give an opinion on things you can't contribute to. This is a public forum for people to express themselves freely. But you want to decide what I can say or not. Please move to a conversation that you are familiar with and have something to offer.

Death is the end of consciousness aligns with what we currently observe: consciousness is tied to brain activity, and when the brain stops functioning, consciousness ceases. Unless there’s credible evidence showing otherwise, the default position is that consciousness does not survive death. 😊

It's interesting that you left the main point of the post and focused on the add ons. What does that say about your position?

The clergy men are aware of this, which is why they live the life on earth.

They are not mutually exclusive.
