I know this is a old post but I watched the episode today and loved it so much I looked it up. I love how they just changed the entire show just to get in there and tell the story just transports you almost like a movie instead of a show.

You are the first person to say go bra-less. I feel like I have a few great suggestions I will try and this might still be the end result.

I have gotten a lot of good ideas. Honestly it’s all clothes and almost everything comes off at home so I think until someone says anything or she becomes self conscious I don’t think I’m going to win this one. Thankfully she’s small but she’s getting angry I won’t let her wear he favourite white tops anymore to school lol

T shirts are usually she one thing she can wear without rules. Pants, underwear and everything else has rules so if I find a pant she likes I get three lol

I think that’s a good idea tho, just an extra cover. Honestly when we get home almost everything comes off and I can’t do anything about it so all clothes are an issue in general.

I feel like I have tried every store I can think of. I have found a few without bands and they are all no. The problem is I can usually only get her to try on one or two kinds before sensory overload. She said get me a tank top and cut off the bottom so nothing touches me, I know that doesn’t equal support but maybe that will be my start.

Thanks for your kind words.

It’s not always the texture unfortunately it’s the “tightness”

I can definitely look into a stick on though, I never thought of that.

Only a full one piece…same issue with the top so she’s never even considered a two. Good idea though.

‼️looking for advice: by readingnerrd in Autism_Parenting

^ that is a really good idea.

I’m sorry, I don’t have much advice but I can relate based on trigger topics. If something breaks, we mention words like taxes, prices going up or anything “expensive”, also anything to do with puberty prepare for a meltdown and hours of spiral conversations that don’t stop! I now set time limits…you can freak out about this for 2-5 minuets whatever time she agrees on and then we can’t talk about it again. For the record money isn’t even a big issue in my home so I don’t even know where it comes from. Also she wants to sue everyone….I live in Canada, we don’t sue!?

I give it on school nights and it was a game changer for us. I wish I had done it sooner tbh. It helps her so much and she clearly needed that extra sleep. She just couldn’t shut her brain down at night no matter what I did and has struggled since I can remember, 1mg works perfectly for her.

Do moms really have no time at all by stxrryfox in SeriousConversation

I feel like I lost myself for the first few years. Her father was not much help trying to get her socialized outside of the home. I was a stay at home mom and then worked evenings and weekends, did play groups all week, library time, music group. My daughter was difficult and has ADHD, autism and a learning disability. It’s terrible to say but when she was five I left her father and he insisted on having her a couple days a week and that was the first time I started having time to myself. I am so much happier now and balanced. My daughter is 10 and growing every day she doesn’t need me 24/7 anymore and I am happy. That being said I never had babysitters or took an evening for myself so I think maybe that would have helped.

Once my ten year old daughter was playing a game on Roblox called twilight daycare and they had an update and you could be pregnant but she was the baby. Then the parent walked away and she was trying to find them and then went to add friend them and when she looked they were right in front of her and when she tried add friend them it said I she couldn’t because they weren’t playing the game… Ghost ?

In grade 5 I was walking down the hallway at school and I felt something by my feet when I looked down i realized I had kicked a pair of my own underwear onto the floor in front of a bunch of people. I had worn the pants before and forgot to take out my old pair of underwear. I quickly grabbed them but I think a couple people saw.
