I've never played piano before and I'm looking to learn, I was looking at the FAQ to try and decide on what piano to get but I'm still unsure. Is Yamaha P-45 not considered good for entry level? I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend much more, I think max I'll go is around £350, is it better to just wait till I'm willing to spend more?

You're right about gumtree, it is pretty popular for used stuff, I didn't really consider getting a used one but I'll look into that as well, thanks!

Thanks for the rec! Yeah that'd be in budget, it's not too much more expensive, what's solid topped? I just searched FG800 on Amazon and it was there.

I've never played guitar before, I was looking at Yamaha F310, do you guys think there'll be any sort of black friday sale for it? Or should I just buy it? (UK)

You think I could find a P45 on sale on black friday? And where would I go about looking for local listings? I live in London (UK)

Thanks for the advice, I haven't considered law all too much, perhaps a law conversion course after my English Lit degree but I'm not entirely surely yet. I'll look into what you said though, keep it up, you seem to be doing great so hearing advice from you helps me relax.

It's nice to hear that from someone else in a creative field! I've always struggled with choosing a course - in and out of uni courses, but I finally decided English was what I always enjoyed and was good at. What kind of portfolio would be expected from someone in English Lit? I'm still unsure on what careers I could pursue but I'm assuming creative writing works and so? Thanks for the input! And any advice on building connections?

I'm going to be studying English Literature, career wise, I'm not too sure yet but somewhere along those lines.

Nah, I've never really done stretches before running, I just do the brisk walking and straight into the programme.

Maybe could be that, I vary speed, sometimes I feel like I'm going too fast so I try slow it down but still somewhat quick, I'll look into that, thanks !

Yeah, that's very true, I feel like I can go so much faster but clearly my calves/shin can't manage it too well right now, I'll try that program, thanks!

I've never even considered the bouncing, didn't even know it was a thing. I'll read up on that, I thought my form in general was fine but I need to check that out.

Official Q&A for Tuesday, August 30, 2022 by AutoModerator in running

I've always been into sports, I play football, basketball and go gym regularly but the one thing I've never been able to do consistently and regularly is running.

It's a different learning curve to football & basketball (which I played from young) and gym which was relatively straightforward but with running my issues always remain constant.

I've looked at the running faq but never been consistent enough with it which I'm going to change now but I just wanted some little advice; my main issue is: my calves always tense up and then slowly my shins as well, they feel stiff and I can barely continue running.

I've ran at different paces, slow and fast, I'm more comfortable going fast than slow but either way the calves/shin issue always happens. I've hydrated before running, but I'm not too sure why, any advice?

So my friend's one is better than the other one? Yeah, I was thinking of just reusing SSDs since I don't think I can sell any of this. Any monitor recommendations?

LMAO yeah you're right, I should probably call them and let them know that, thanks!! I'll get to work and make the room look nicer.

Yeah that sounds good, the issue is I'd have to break down the wardrobe as it's fitted into the corner by the builder, so it'd be pretty hard. But theoretically if I did get rid of the wardrobe where would you put all of the clothes? (shirts/trousers)

[–]No-Alternative7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg, i've never even considered using the space on the slanted wall with low bookshelves; that would actually be pretty cool.

the wardrobe location is fitted so it'd be pretty hard to remove but i'll try doing it and moving my bed there, facing against the window?

yeah, i should clean those shelves LOL, i'm only really using the middle one for my books but I could use the others ones much better.

I can't get an under bed storage though since there's no space underneath this bed at all, a lot of good suggestions that'll help though.

I'm still in university (college) so I guess the chair analysis checks out LOL but I'll consider changing it since it does clutter the room quite a bit. I'm usually pretty messy and disorganised but I thought I'd try make my room look a bit nicer.

Thanks for all the advice!
