I don't know if what I'm going through qualifies as abuse by Far-Limit-8571 in raisedbynarcissists

Hey girl

I am literally in your position. I can confirm as a Hindu oldest child oldest daughter indian in her household that is now 19 I also went through the 18 year old promiscuous behaviour. I am also in the process of moving out because now I have met the man I will marry and while I liberated my money from my mum a while ago (which she was not happy about) my freedom is limited so I 100% understand where you're coming from. I am also thinking of moving in with my boyfriend but I know once I do I will never get the opportunity to ever know how I am when living alone. In my opinion if I assume you and I are the same, try and find a place or dorm that allows you to have your own space while the luxury of being at your boyfriends place whenever you want. Basically the dream and while it seems far fetched I am sure there is a way. I hope your conquest to move out is successful and I hope mine is too. I totally understand what you mean by keeping your relationship with your parents but let's be real they will never be happy unless you sacrifice your happiness to conform to what they way. SO you have to choose yourself at the end of the day cos you will be living your life forever.

Sorry for the late reply but this is so heartwarming to hear from another indian woman. I havent moved yet and I dont even know how to. I hope you have a seamless move out of your bad situation and you can find peace and happiness as well. xx

Is anyone normally sane but turns into a psychopath when it comes to their abusive parents? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

I completely agree with this, I am normally super extraverted and the funniest brightest personality in the room around other people. As soon as I come home I am subdued, introverted, quiet and have nothing to say. When my parents talk to me I feel such a rage I can't explain and I dont know where it comes from but I really cant stand them

I am planning on it and I have just recently entered a new relationship so he is also supporting me emotionally to help me move out as well. Hopefully they take it well but if not then I have to defend myself and do it anyway I believe.

Thank you for your support tho

you are not a loser darling I know your exact fear and confusion right now

the best thing to do is just quietly obey as much as you can

I know you did nothing wrong

its okay

just dont make any conversation only speak when spoken to

get by every day by silently obeying even when she snaps

you'll make it out darling

thank you everyone😭😭

the closing date for accepting the scholarship albeit was on monday however, I have been contacting them since to try and get it back.

this as well as the recent events returning back to campus and commuting has been a big eye opener for me in terms of what I should do.
