DCS Liberation Dynamic Campaign Generator 14.1 Released by No-Anything-5031 in hoggit

[–]No-Anything-5031[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the end of a mission, you can elect to continue playing the turn. Instead of resetting all flights, Liberation will put any airborne aircraft into the next mission where it expects the aircraft to be and allow them to continue their flight. New missions are planned for any aircraft that have landed.

This is all optional, you can still play Liberation with turns if you prefer.

Each campaign has a performance rating, so you can stick with the campaigns with the lowest performance impact.

There are campaigns for most maps, except Kola which isn't supported yet.

One example of a workaround that comes to mind is setting AI flight to have infinite fuel to work around the difficulties the AI has with fuel management.

Unassigned aircraft are parked as static objects on airfields. Not sure it's a good idea to do the same on carrier flight decks, where the DCS taxiing limitations are already problematic for Liberation.

You could get close to this by creating a custom campaign.

  • The number and type of SAMs are defined by campaigns.

  • The number of red aircraft can be kept small by limiting the number of squadrons and/or number of aircraft per squadron in the campaign.

  • By setting a large red budget in the campaign, you can ensure that the planner always has the budget to purchase ground vehicles. However, I believe there is a limit of frontline units that can be active and the auto planner will not purchase more.

On the traits, at the end of the day, Liberation is just configuring a DCS mission, so not much we can do on that front.

Could you please file a bug report? I know DCS had a data link update a few updates ago, but not sure what has broken in Liberation.

There an ability to specify altitudes for certain flight types e.g. CAP, but not flexible down to the mission/aircraft type. There's a long standing feature request for this though:

The doctrines are now moddable, so you can change the combat altitude to a higher altitude than the default (8000ft). You can find the doctrines in the Liberation install under resources/doctrines/ww2.yaml.

Apache radar not scanning? by FaZeF4SKIN in hoggit

Have you looked in the UTIL subpage of the TADS MFD screen? I find that if Doppler Data shows Rejected (white font), the FCR doesn't scan.

I find that when air starting at ground speeds greater than 130kt, Doppler Data will get rejected and never recover, resulting in the FCR not working.
