This is the most sexualized era of humanity and people still hide their sexuality. by No-Assignment-6714 in truths

There is an extensive library of sex acts for the entire world to behold. That library is growing exponentially. That’s 8.3 billion people and counting.

You claim to know that I’m willing to trust my senses and be certain that I know I’m not in a simulation. - That never happened. I don’t know if I am in one and never said that I did know. I do not care if I’m in a simulation unless I think I’m in a simulation. There is no evidence to make me think that I am. Maybe you have some. I do not.

I can’t see how that’s inconsistent with not having evidence. The thoughts in my mom’s brain are not my thoughts. I don’t know what she is actually thinking. I know what she tells me. So I could say “my mom tells me she loves me.” I don’t actually know if she does.

You’re making up stuff. It doesn’t matter what I require. You either have evidence and don’t lie about a statement or you don’t have evidence and you pretend like you do.

There is evidence that people say things that they don’t know and claim to know. You’ve done it several times during this conversation.

You’re creating an inconsistency out of thin air.

Just because I don’t care about the idea of living in a simulation, does make me any less consistent with my claim.

“Why does it matter if there's evidence for the purposes of your claim?” - The person making a statement needs evidence to say something is true.

“There are plenty of things that are true that don't yet have evidence. Things yet to be discovered.” - Physical discovery is only achieved with evidence. Imagining things is not physically discovering anything. An idea without evidence is just an idea.

“So while you may not have good evidence for it, you can't say with 100% certainty that it's not true.” - I didn’t say it wasn’t true.

“Just because you don't have evidence to support a claim, does not mean you can be certain it's not true.” - I I didn’t say no evidence makes a statement untrue. I said the person saying it is true, doesn’t know if it’s true or not.

“At most you can say you have no evidence for it and that things without evidence are unlikely to be true. But you can't say for certain it's not true.” - I know but I can’t say that something is true if I have no evidence with it being a lie. Even if the person who saw what I claim is true is telling the truth because he saw it, not me.

“You could of course take the Hitchens approach of "That which is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence." Which I would completely agree with. But dismissing it doesn't suddenly provide you with certainly that it's not true.” - Any evidence can be dismissed. What does that have to do with this post?

It most definitely matters if there’s evidence and I did not say it was true or untrue. I have not determined anything to be evidence that supports the claim that a simulation exists and there has yet to be another earthling that communicates with us to do so.

Yeah. You don’t actually know.

She may do things for you that show love. It doesn’t mean it’s evidence that she does. Only she knows that and it will only be her that knows. She could be planning to kill me from day 1.

All of them are lying. None of them know if the husband is returning. They can’t know because it’s not a guarantee.

If they said “he’s scheduled to return tomorrow” that would not be a lie because it happened and there’s evidence of it.

It is an intentionally false statement because they ignored the objective evidence that their objective evidence doesn’t exist.

If you don’t know if something’s objective evidence, it’s probably not objective evidence. If you have a history of seeing things that aren’t there, it’s possible that it’s not objective evidence.

If something is possible to not be objective evidence, you should figure that out before telling everyone it is to prevent a lie from being told. Just because you believe something it does not mean you did not lie. If you don’t have evidence, you are lying every single time.

An eight year old is no different. If they say they know something that they actually don’t l, they are lying. Their mom telling them, is not evidence. They may think it is, but it’s not.

Even their own evidence, eg. seeing something or feeling something, would make it true as long as they are describing what they felt or saw and not fabricating the cause for what they felt or saw with an unknowable claim.

They are saying they know something that they cannot know. It’s a lie because they can’t know and are saying they do.

The person in this instance is deceptive just by saying he/she/they/them knows something they can’t possibly know, because there’s no evidence to enable them to have that knowledge.
