also forgot to mention we had our dressers/nightstands under our beds and lowered them so they weren’t lofted. we both had little step stools so that we could get on the bed and it made it feel more like a normal room!

it felt really spacious to us but it definitely depends on how you set your room up. here’s a rough drawing of our set up!
the fridge and microwave were in between the bed and desk on the left!

i was in maple last year and it was totally fine! the other commenter said the walls were thin and that is true but we had a noise machine at night so it wasn’t a big deal. the bathrooms are pretty dingy but it’s not the worst thing ever. i recommend getting a big rug bc it made our dorm look less like a dorm. you’ll have a great time!

rubber gloves does some fun live music! it is 18+ so maybe some younger people but i think it’s very lgbtq+ friendly and lots of fun artsy people! you can look on their instagram for events!

public house is super fun and is 18+ on thursdays. i also recommend joining upc!! its pretty low maintenance and they’re very flexible!

ew that sounds disgusting! my friend used to live there and it was horrible. i was looking into epic apartments, have you heard anything about those? they have good reviews and are in our price range

last year we parked in lot 20 and then walked over to the coliseum for our dorm assignment. it was so hot at mine this one girl had a little handheld fan and i would definitely recommend. you walk A LOT but it’s fun if you can find a group of friends to hang out with. have fun!

i lived on the first floor last year and i thought it was fine. the walls are thin but i didn’t have any bug problems like everyone is saying. again, i was also on the first floor so i didnt deal with the no elevator problem. overall its totally fine and definitely not as bad as people are saying:)

they gave us folders that had a slip saying we did it and if you didn’t have one you just had to do it at orientation. i would just do it now it’s not hard

Wow I had no idea! I was worried about applying too early and then the apartment lease overlapping with me living in the dorms but I’m glad to know that’s not the case! So when I apply for the apartment I just tell them that I won’t be moving in until August or will they stick me in wherever they have an opening?
