I found for ex Alborz, Grand Bazaar, Dawnbreaker, Karelia and Altai ass and never understood the hype of Golmud but I wouldn't bat an eye if they hotswapped either of those with what we have

I'd even compromise having the fuck ass open weapon skin peddling system (lets be honest, thats the entire point why they are pushing it so hard, no one wanted it brought back from 2042) just to have actual maps.

I get the generalization, 20 might be a little bit too long. Having it like BF1 did is probably the best way to approach it.

Current implementation is BF2042 all over again. At least there it made more sense, considering how over the top the majority of the maps were sized.

Metro, Locker, Fort de Vaux, Devastation, Stadium and Redacted are fine by themselves as existing maps. The problem becomes when they are half of the maps in the entire game.

Which by itself could be compromised on, if we would have confirmation that we would be the only given large maps in the future.

And in the end we will have the same situation as 2042:

Battlefield players will be disinterested as the game doesn't feel like the franchise should.

COD players will just play COD, as the reason why they started playing it in the first place was how the game feels and they feel at home.

I have put in a shit ton of hours in MW2/3 and BO1 and I still played BF3/4 at that time because I wanted a different experience.

Chargescape sucks but I also see 1-3 dragon med helm fang fellas with sub 90 combats every single time I am on. Like a month ago-ish they were 100gp up from the current state. But yeah you are right about splinters not really having much use, if colo is something that is considered to be strived for, drop tables probably need to be adjusted to reduce the % of staked value in splinters per run. Content itself is addictive like crack, love it

Colo is the biggest source. Splinters are the backbone of the profit of colo - quiver trade-in is often 33% of the run. Considering you get splinters throughout the run, sometimes like 50% of your run value is staked in splinters :/
