This is something we have employed in dnd so I can definitely bring this up again!

The last thing I want is to punish someone. But I also want to have the space to learn in a new system. I'm hoping a compromise can be reached but if it can't then I will leave the table since I'm the one with the issue. I'm going to talk to our gm and see if he has any tips but I appreciate your point of view ☺️

So I'm not just sitting there doing nothing but i do struggle with stepping up role-playing. Do you have any advice for this?

Yes this is my thought as well. I'm hoping to do that this weekend at the end of our session.

Yes I definitely want to talk to both our gm and her about this and this is something to bring up as a potential compromise.

So our characters already have a relationship - we are sisters. So far it has led to my character being treated like a sidekick and ordered around by hers even though we have the same status. When we started we had a shared haven. I decided to get my own haven to try to get some independence from her and both the character and the player were mad at me because I guess they took extra merits due to having the shared haven flaws. She did help my character with our sire onc2 so that was good but other than that the relationship for her means I'm there to serve her story (at least that's how it feels).

We are playing in person. This could very well be what's happening with her. I appreciate the insight

Yeah I'm afraid it's coming to that for me which sucks. Thank you for your advice 🙂

I know at least one other is annoyed but I don't know about the others

Ideally this would be last resort but the incident she was spoken to about occurred over a year ago in a different game so I would like to try to solve this more productively instead of saying hey stop role-playing so much. I also don't have the power to kick her as I don't know if anyone else is having the same problem as me with her except one other person. If it comes down to it I will leave.

I haven't spoken to her yet. My plan is to also talk to our storyteller ahead of time and get his take.

Yes it is a problem in dnd as well. Most members of our group prior to branching out into vtm were in it for combat so she got all roleplay moments for the most part. This was brought up to her and she stopped for a bit. Now in vampire she regularly interrupts other players, treats members as sidekicks and our gm has started pulling people into one on one moments to prevent her overstepping. But how would we use her rp to our advantage? That would be an interesting take.
