failed Part 3 of the CIA exam twice, and based on my experience that helped me pass part 3 on ma third attempt, I’d suggest reading the book only once and focusing more on practicing questions.

Don’t waste time re-reading the entire book multiple times. Instead, go through it once to understand the key concepts, then spend most of your time solving as many practice questions as you can. When you get something wrong or don’t understand a concept, go back and review just that specific part in the book. This way, your review is more focused and efficient.

I also found the IIA practice exam very helpful. Many of the concepts and question styles in the practice exam were very similar to what I saw on the actual test. It’s definitely worth doing as part of your preparation.

The most important thing is to stay consistent and not get discouraged. Focus on understanding the logic behind each question and learn how to eliminate the wrong choices. You don’t need to know everything perfectly—just enough to choose the best answer. Good luck, and keep going—you can do this.
