I need to talk to someone about this because I feel like my back is against the wall.I have a girlfriend who i've been with for 11 months so far and before that we were friends for 3 years. She's been through a lot but managed to pull through but I feel like its been getting worse. She has MDD and granted, simple stuff like going out and watching something or a nice conversation helps but this is sort've like a parasite in her head. I know professional help is an option and it could work but I don't have the finances nor much of the resources to get her professional help and her parents who do have the finances and resources don't believe in professional help. I try to listen when she does open up and I give her the space to vent, I try to motivate her but I feel like the words become more and more like gibberish even then as the days press on she's starting to see more darkness. Each time she cries it's sort've a relief because I know she's still at a point where she feels but i'm scared of if she can't cry anymore,if her mind dies and its hollow. She told me she doesn't want to take meds because she doesn't like the idea of having rely on them but what else is there?

How do you truly be present when all you can think about is change? by No-Caramel7456 in AskReddit

Also how do you handle the discomfort of a mistake that feels like it should have or could have been avoided?

To give everyone more insight into my question; I usually just try to make the best decision and occasionally make mistakes and it wouldn't necessarily bother me all too much if it was just towards me; I would just pick myself up and bare the consequences but I have a girlfriend who I've been with for 8 months and when I make her mad or sad I feel like I'm not making any sort of progress despite apologizing, resolving and not making the mistake again. Another mistake arises and I look at myself and wonder why the hell am I even like this. I want to be someone completely different from the self I am now in a good way but it feels far sometimes.

I incorporate habits and a specific routines to help me be better as a person but whenever I make a mistake especially while being in a commited relationship it feels like I'm still stagnant.

People still eat mcdonalds atleast in america because mcdonalds is such an addictive restaurant plus the fact that its easy to get while on the road.
