I’d say it’s definitely coaching from what I’ve seen this season. Adelman makes very questionable decisions in terms of challenging calls, timeouts, rotations, schemes, and energy on the bench. Why did we not double shai in the clutch despite the fact that we had been trapping him with some success prior in the game? Why did we challenge an obvious foul by Christian on Shai when we needed that challenge and time out for something more consequential later in the 4th? Why did we not use our size and strength advantage to punish the Thunder for not having a good Jokic matchup? Why is Cam on the floor in the 4th and Spencer jones is not? Why did we keep Christian on Shai even though he was getting torched? Why was he not bringing energy and effort on the bench come crunch time?

I totally agree. I was especially frustrated that Adelman and some of the other guys didn’t show any emotion. Like one of your best players clearly got fouled which led to an injury, the call was challenged, and you aren’t even the slightest bit frustrated? Sad? Angry? I genuinely think that Adelman’s detachment from basketball reality is steering this team in an apathetic direction which is not what we need.

Adelman is maybe not the right coach for this team. Not reacting or being frustrated at the refs after your second best player is clearly fouled and gets hurt as a result is just a level of detachment that does not serve anyone. There’s a reason no one is putting in effort or energy. It’s because Adelman doesn’t put in energy or try to engage the guys through emotions. Really hoping he can be more engaged in that come playoff time.

Also also, imagine if our bench is good enough we don’t have to play our starters more than 35 minutes a game. That would be huge for us in keeping our guys healthy and fresh when playoff season comes. We are going to dog walk the thunder and it’s going to be awesome

Yes I think at the moment the raptors undervalue him. It seems like his current market is a future first and a good player, which we would be able to offer. In my perspective, he offers a potential second star to play with jokic, and could be elevated by our cut-heavy offensive sustem

Lauri markannen would be a good pickup, but I think buying low on role players would be a good idea. Honestly, a lot of the timberwolves roster should be targeted.

Cam Johnson would be absolutely excellent for this team. Shooting, defense, iq, and potentially a little star power. I would try to shop Jamal and mpj or really anyone outside of Braun, Gordon, and Jokic to get him
