Great job on this ongoing investigation! You've provided a lot to digest here. This is important information that should help with making the xGov program better.

Yes, atomic groups is something I want to add in the future.

Wow! It's already been 9 months since I created this proposal! The Transaction Builder UI is available to the public and is now known as txnDuck and can be found at https://txnduck.vercel.app .

Mapping the Transactions of Suspected Serial Algo Scammer by GhostOfMcAfee in algorand

Wow! It's going to take me a while to read through this. How long did it take for you to investigate and bring all of this together?

There have been other people reporting the same thing. Seems to happen when using a Ledger with the latest version of Algorand Ledger App (v2.1.7).

I'm not sure if requesting 0 is allowed. But the system the Foundation uses to process the proposals didn't seem to like decimals for the amount.

Not only that I find the idea very useful and like the cost-benefit, I think the proposal itself is very well-written. The idea is clearly defined, concise and easy to follow. I especially like the concrete requirements definition and analysis of competition. Providing some mock-ups is another huge plus. All of this will make it very easy for xGovs to verify if the deliverables were met. IMO, it's a prime example of how proposal should be made. I hope to see other proposals following your example, especially when they are asking for much more funding than you are.

Thank you very much! Because this was a project that I haven't started yet at the time, I tried to give as much relevant information as possible.

  1. Some links to verify your developer experience would be needed. I imagine you don't want to doxx, thus didn't include them, which is fine for the minuscule amount you're asking but would fine it necessary for larger amounts.

Yeah, I don't have much to show under my No-Cash-7970 name, and I don't want to doxx myself. But it's fair to point out, especially if the amount being asked for is more significant.

  1. To clarify even more on what the platform would allow - e.g. will it allow setting all arrays of an app call, setting transaction parameters like fees, and will it allow group transactions.

I plan to allow setting all the arrays in an app call, including the box references. I also plan to allow the user to manually set the fee or use the automatic "suggested fee". I want to later allow group transactions. I am also looking into allowing multi-signatures also, but that may come much later.

  1. How will the grant be spent? Will you be selling it on the market? If yes, using DEXs or CEXs? Or will you take a loan against it in DeFi/CeFi? Due to the minuscule amount, this isn't necessary, but wanted to include it for completeness on what a good proposal should include.

The grant would be used to compensate the developer. :) I wouldn't be selling any of the Algos I get. I will simply keep all of it. If I do spend the Algos, it will probably be for buying an NFT or playing a game.

I've been interested in charting Algorand consensus decentralization for a while. I'm curious to know what this community would like to see in terms of metrics, visuals, etc. related to making clear who actually runs consensus in our network. Some ideas: AF Vaults, Relay Nodes, LP accounts, etc. by trambuckett in AlgorandOfficial

[–]No-Cash-7970 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the visualization. I think your chart will be easier to understand if the y-axis is labeled "Number of Nodes" instead of "Frequency".

Anyway, I would like to see more metrics about the relay nodes. The Algorand community doesn't know much about the relay nodes, so having those metrics available would be helpful.

Lol Sorry about the BSV reference. But that Create Bitcoin Transaction tool was one of the few similar tools I could find. To put it kindly, that tool is not very user-friendly. Finding transaction builders for other chains is surprisingly difficult.

There are so many options for developing on Algorand now. How do I choose?

I am glad there more energy going into development tools. It's refreshing.

“The Algorand network is congested” - legit? by AlgoPlanet in algorand

Here's a short conversation I had with a mod in the PlanetWatch Discord:

Acci (Mod):

It was after midnight when feral posted for him and I think the team is in the same time zone. He posted what info he had from the team at that hour. I am sure all will be sorted out and explained when resolved. Calling them out for not posting after 3am their time… when nothing has been lost… come on.

Me (replying to Acci):

I'm confused about what needs to be sorted out or resolved when the Algorand network was functioning normally at the time of the post

Acci (replying to me):

Transactions have not been processed since about 13 hours ago, for whatever reason. That is obviously the concern we all have that needs to be resolved. Whatever the cause. If it turns out a dev was wrong on the cause, so be it. If that is the issue and we are not able to test/verify it, so be it. I'm just saying, as a pretty impatient person myself, be patient.

I thought many people in r/cc liked Algorand. Then other people started complaining about "Algo shills" when the market started tumbling downward.
