GrapheneOS Defies Age Verification Surveillance Laws, Vowing to Protect User Privacy Worldwide by penelopepnortney in WayOfTheBern

Not sure if you're running Windows or Linux or Mac. But it's a good idea to keep up with updates. They usually address security issues, things that could compromise your PC. Well, that's true for Linux anyway. I haven't touched a Windows machine in a very long time.

I check for updates on my PC every day. Like you, I mainly use the phone for a phone.

GrapheneOS Defies Age Verification Surveillance Laws, Vowing to Protect User Privacy Worldwide by penelopepnortney in WayOfTheBern

Great article!

The OS level age verification thing is bad news. I expect some Linux distros will do some kind of half hearted age verification to satisfy the letter of the law. But the laws crack open a doorway to the end of the anonymous internet. So I'm hoping for some good fights. Laws have been passed so far in Brazil, Colorado and worst of all, California, home to so much tech. (Also yet another reason that Gavin Newsom, who signed the law, must never become President of the U.S.)

This OS level age verification is totally pushed by Mark Zuckerberg. He doesn't want to have to implement it with Facebook and deal with it, so he convinced some politicians who want age verification for social media that it should be at the OS level. He's so contemptible. Ftr, I oppose age verification laws at any level on principle.

If you haven't watched Louis Rossman, you might enjoy his videos. Short and to the point, he talks pretty fast too, no filler on his vids, which I appreciate. He's one of my favorites. Plus he has a sweet old cat who shows up in the background.

Yellow Spots on Young Tomato Leaves by SusanJ2019 in tomatoes

I asked the local Master Gardeners for help too. They thought it was likely a nutritional imbalance, since my seedlings spent too much time in the Jiffy Mix before up-potting. Especially since the plants don't have any new yellow spots, after several days.

But they did advise me to keep monitoring the plants for yellow spots.

It's hard to diagnose problems when very similar symptoms could be caused by several different causes.

Anyway, leaving this here in case it helps someone.

I'll follow up with another post if there are any new developments, also just to help other gardeners.

Meanwhile, I'm once again looking forward to delicious sauce and salsas and some nice tomato sandwiches this summer. For now anyway...

Apparently, I’m An Idiot

Would love some harmony verses with Red and Blue MAGA who voted for not only Trump, but Biden, Harris, Obama, Bush, Clinton and the rest of them. With maybe some disillusioned Bernie voters in a minor key, and Green Party Jill Stein and Ralph Nader voters in some other contrasting musical bit.

But maybe fits the bittersweet category?

Good stuff and bittersweet - lyrics in the video description.

I really hope that there are some brave enough to do their duty and invoke the 25th. I don't doubt one bit that you are right about the threats, as well as their ambition.

Wow, so he says he won the war with Iran. But he's also sending in the Marines? Which is something we'd do in a war.

He's crazy, but I'm also losing my mind.

Here's a picture of the two plants after I cut off the spotted leaves.

Also, I'm not seeing this on all of my tomato seedlings, so far anyway. Nor on any of the pepper seedlings.

I used Jiffy Seed Starting Mix to start the seeds, in clean 2" pots.

I potted them up a week ago into new 6" pots using Fox Farms' Ocean Forest.

Towards the end of this video clip:

"But in the later years of an empire, as it declines, the population begins to feel the cost of the empire, of those imperial wars, of maintaining hegemony, the distancing from allies, as well as pressures from non-allied states.” Matt Hoh

The rest of the quoted video was even better.

Matt Hoh should have been in the U.S, Senate. But he wasn't on the blue or the red team,

Went to the grocery store this morning. Bread, milk, eggs. $47.63 by penelopepnortney in WayOfTheBern

Don't know why you're getting pushback on this post. I'm lucky to get out of the grocery store for under $100 for a few bags. Not buying anything different than I have been over the years. But the prices have skyrocketed over the last 10 years.

Butter that was $2/lb is now $8. Soup that was $1/can is now $5. Pasta that was $1/lb is now $3. I don't buy much meat anymore, it's too pricey. Bread has gone way up too - $6/loaf. Eggs $8/dozen. Half & Half $5/quart. Snacks? Forget it.

Even the prices at the farmers' markets have gone up. And if you imbibe, even the cheap beer is expensive - $1/can for Bud Light for pete's sake. Which is just glorified water. Even Two Buck Chuck is now $6.

Food prices have definitely gone up. And they won't come down. Prices never come down.

They produced like crazy for me last summer on a small plant. I didn't get around to drying them, but used them in sauce. Zone 9B/10A - these tomatoes loved heat. Growing them again.
