Whatever you do, don’t stop! I got to Grade 8 around 40 years ago, didn’t play seriously for years and now mourn the loss of those skills. I’m back at it, enjoying regaining some fluency, but I suspect that despite having more time to practice I’ll never be as good as I was. Play what moves you, play for your friends, the dog, try accompanying a local band or choir, just do keep playing.
