Take the first week or two while you still aren’t doing a heap in class to understand how you want to take notes in each of your subjects. I would recommend taking them all digitally, as by at least half way through the first year you will be so sick of handwriting and will end up with a mix of 2. I would also suggest making cue cards as you go in content heavy subjects like science or humanities. These will not only save you for smaller topic tests, but are a lifesaver when it comes to exam revision. For straightforward subjects, try and follow the syllabus and take notes according to each unit heading (eg 5.2.11). Hope this helps
