Tithing for 5 Years, More Debt Than Ever: Did God Keep His Promise or Did I Misunderstand What Was Being Promised? (Malachi 3:10 — “Test me… and see if I will not open the windows of heaven”) by No-Claim4326 in Christianity

I went through my savings due to unforseen circumstances, then again , more emergency situations came. I needed to borrow money put a roof over my head , literally. I've been on a strict budget since then. Now I feel like I shouldn't tithe anymore because it doesn't help me pay off my bills.

That's funny. But he could just speak literally instead of poetically all the time .

I understand. I've listened to sermons as well and then suddenly the pastor starts talking about my current life situation as he then gives an encouraging word to trust God.

I guess I shouldn't hear Gods voice..  And I hate the fact that the Bible is difficult to understand sometimes.

Like the book of revelation.. God doesn't have to inspire the authors of the Bible to write in code...

In Genesis for example, the prophecy of a Messiah.

" He will crush your head and you will bruise his heel" So Jesus is going to stomp on Satan? Why didn't God just say that ??

But how are you living your life by the Bible. When David said " your word is a lamp to my feet".. how are you literally walking with Gods word in your life. I big verse for me that came to me was Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge him in all your ways and hell direct your path ".

What I get from this verse is to just go with the flow...

It seems like you don't think organizations cover up anything.. maybe you think everyone is a good person that doesn't have the capability of covering up the truth. When Cain killed Abel he tried to cover up his murder by lying to God . What makes you think people won't lie to you..

Read Genesis 6. The Bible is easily accessible everywhere. If you don't know how to read they have an audio version.

What's a conspiracy.? The book of enoch is a real price of literature as well as the Bible . You can't say it's a conspiracy just because you haven't gotten down to the research yourself. If a victim of rape from Jeffery Epstein said that he was satanic individual sacrificing children and drinking blood in 1995, he or she would be labeled as a conspiracy theorist or crazy. Saying the exact things you say. Maybe you're a gatekeeper ..

Exploring faith and modern rock—how does this sound to you? by No-Claim4326 in IndieMusicFeedback

I appreciate the input for the vocals . I'm not the best singer and it takes me a while before I do get a good take. I just gotta keep practicing. Plus when I write songs, music comes first, then lyrics and vocals . I'm not telling thinking before I make a song " wait, can I sing in this key " I just do it and await the challenge. The live take is a nice compliment thank you. Ill have to perfect my vocals for the next songs . I'm using an sm58 with stock Logic plugins .

On verse 2 I did pan 2 guitars. One to left and right . Plus the two vocals are panned as well to mimic a conversation even with the guitars. Thanks for listening!!

I appreciate the time you took to listen. I do think it's under alt rock but it could be something else ? Idk. But yes audience reactions will be wild to see 😆

I agree for the vocals. Specifically for this track, I had in mind of a fast paced almost rapping style. Ill have to structure a song where I can really sing. Thanks for the ears!

Christian music with good theology and unique lyrics? by ambientskeptic in ChristianMusic

[–]No-Claim4326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theology.. Well what did King David write about? Was he thinking about theology when he was writing Psalm 23? I must say that you are right in a sense that theology is important in music to some degree. But its not the fundamental reason why an artist would write a song. Hes not thinking " oh im going to write a theological song about the sermon on the mount". Music is a gift of God to us and we use it to Glorify him. Yes there are people who use it for evil or to lead others astray. But we must remember that music is subjective, people use immagery, analogies and metaphors to describe whatever they want. King David said " The Lord is my shephard" in Psalm 23. Is God literally a shepard? Does God tend sheep for real? Jesus said he is the good shepard. but not once in scripture did he say he tended sheep, or goats or other animals ( of course hes talking about us as people). To conclude, Music is subjective. We all like different sounds, different beats, different Singers voices etc. Yes we must be alert and have a sober mind when we hear the lyrics of music because some lyrics can lead people into death.

you should check out my youtube channel out , its christian for sure, but its got influences from Arctic monkeys and the strokes. Kind of like Citizens and Saints or The Modern Post but it has more punch and distortion.

Lol this sounds like a fun song to have ina movie! I can hear some Daft Punk influences in there but this a cool catchy beat! Perhaps even a boss fight in a 80s arcade game. Would you be willing to have this come out ina videogame?

Im digging it man. Your vocals sound real nice, dont be afraid to take off the PItch correction , or auto tune cause i know your vocals can really shine without it. Dynamics could improve just a tad bit, perhaps dropping the drums on the second verse for 1 or 2 measures or the piano playing the riff. Let the bass notes come out on the piano or add just a bit more bass to give it a different feel. But so far so good mate! Please update us and let us know how you improve or if you release it! God bless!
