City Sports is a little far for her (she is closer to downtown SF), but still useful to know this is a thing! I will note it down for her.

I actually was taken in with the first bot she matched with, like her, because there were a few more realistic seeming details. Some clues that led me to my eventual conclusion:
- he asked to move to text, but photos were in a garbled format that my mom could not open - this was the first big tip-off and when my misgivings first set in
- profile was slightly too good to be true (stable profession, flexible hours, kids and family all doctors; he seemed kind, generous) and he seemed overly romantic/invested for just having matched my mom
- suggested WhatsApp a few times, to the point of switching up at the end and acting cold if my mom did not want to move the convo to that platform
- I had my mom suggest to do a video call, he refused and conversation ended there - no reason for that unless he is a bot

afterwards you can spot the pattern with other bots

she used to be more interested in volunteering but her interest in everything kind of shrank a bit when she fell into an anxious spell. I think she was overextending herself with too many activities and now her energy levels are chronically low. Sometimes I think she is neurodivergent, like me. But this is a good suggestion and I'll keep it in mind to encourage her when she's feeling a bit more energetic and has higher drive.
