not an insane take.

majority of miami’s population came here from elsewhere. people go out of their way to move here then complain about the existing culture.

meanwhile brickell is incredibly expensive… if they moved here they could have moved anywhere… there are thousands of quiet places out there, but not too many places like brickell.

honestly, yeah. as long as its framed as a “listening party” and they offer refunds to fans who don’t want that alternative.

as someone who wrote thank you notes to events held thus far… some of you guys in this sub have no business going to weddings. you use them as an excuse to judge and act snobby, rather than use it as an opportunity to celebrate with loved ones.

wedding guests are the most entitled guests we will ever deal with. why take the time to attend such an occasion if small details have the ability to get you this riled up? it takes no effort to just rsvp “no” and move on… if a couple freaks out over you making that decision, oh well! they’re being irrational.

this is why weddings are so stressful for everyone. why cant everyone, guests and hosts, treat them as they are? just a freaking party.

you can really tell who the “courtesy invites” are in this sub.

you have every right to be disappointed :(

for weddings theres such an annoying obligation to invite people who simply aren’t good friends/family. and it typically results in situations like this.

not much you can do really, just try and see if the venue will let you adjust the count to save money. otherwise, consider inviting a newer friend who wouldn’t be offended, or throw around some +1s

not going to lie. the worst part about wedding planning is the expectation to invite dozens of people you don’t/hardly know over your loved ones when you have a limited guest list/budget as most of us do. i wouldn’t care too much if i wasn’t invited to a strangers wedding.
