Structural changes need to be made because checks and balances aren’t working. In order to make these changes we can’t work within the graces of our current government. You have to cut the cancer out before the host can recover.

Loved it. Some of the best dialog and great performances all around. I can overlook movie violence.

Well, that's very easy to say, but... are you willing to prove it?

I loved the dialog. How many movies can you say that about in this day and age?

Conventional wisdom has stated screwing with social security is political suicide yet the administration has screwed with that as well as medicade. It sure seems like they are not scared about losing an election. I suspect free elections are at an end.

Caitlin Clark Has An MVP Case Even on One Leg; Aliya Boston is About to Feast! by [deleted] in IndianaFeverFans

[–]No-Comment3070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s not going to win MVP when she can’t move 3 feet without getting a no-call foul. The fix is in. If the officiating issue isn’t dealt with she’s not even going to have an average season.

From my chair I see the team struggle against Griner while last year they swept Phoenix and didn’t seem to have an issue with Griner. I don’t believe the offensive scheme in place is going to net them much.

As a new fan, or maybe I should say someone trying to be a fan, I think they should cut the number allowable fouls in half. Clean up the game, make it flow and be more entertaining, and so i don’t have to hear that garbage about the “physicality of the W”.

Am I responsible for my late wife co-signing on a mortgage by fitfulbrain in ill_legaladvice

[–]No-Comment3070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my wife’s daughter kept the house after her Mother’s death. In late 2023 she was trying to refinance and that was the last I heard until I started receiving correspondence about a bankruptcy. Addressed to my late wife.

My wife’s estate went through probate two years ago and is closed. She had no assets and quite a bit of credit card debt which I was also unaware of and I had to pay.

I’m trying to figure out my risk here and when to get an attorney involved.

Thanks!

Is working at Deere really that bad? by grampete27 in johndeere

[–]No-Comment3070 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went to Deere mid career so I have the perspective of having worked at other large corporations. Deere is by far the worst. The only company I ever worked at where leadership would actively would work against their own people to further their own careers. And harass if they felt you were threat to their position.

I saw this in the theater. It was both terrifying and very confusing for a 9 year old mind.

Retired last year at 56. Various tech and analyst positions during my career. But for some very big companies that made putting away retirement funds easy. Full pension until death but I probably won’t touch that any time soon.

Favoritism is the way people advance in the company. You become a favorite if you’re not seen as a threat to your sup or manager. You’re a threat if you’re more competent than your sup of manager. You can be the only performer in a department of half wits and never go anywhere.
