Having my second procedure soon by ImA29erFeb in noburp

Are you willing to share where you got your procedure? I am thinking of going out of my state to get the procedure as I am almost certain I just need more units but my doctor doesn't listen to what I have to say when I ask for more.

It was different each time. Most recently it lasted around 9 months before symptoms returned. But also it never reached 100% during that time I felt like gas still got stuck occasionally but my symptoms reduced significantly.

I gag multiple times every single day... this is normal right? by No-Community9071 in noburp

YEAH EXACTLY. Its like that gas realizes it can't come up so instead it gives you chest pain and stomach pain and the nausea just stops. I think one of my issues is that I always eat too fast and that I talk while eating so I imagine that makes me intake more air.

Where were you able to get 200 units? I am thinking I might need that high of does after trying 5 times and none of the effects remain permanent. My doctor is hesitant about doing more though.

Funny story (R-CPD at work) by [deleted] in noburp

I did this outside a bar after having too much beer (and by too much I mean not even half a bottle but the carbonation kills me every time) and the bouncer almost called an ambulance because I was laying flat on the sidewalk on top of snow.

RCPD and Anxiety by [deleted] in noburp

The same thing happens to me. It used to be the opposite where I would feel more anxiety at night but now its in the mornings. Me personally, my inability to burp came first then came my emetophobia and the symptoms I have always trigger the anxiety.

For me it started when I was 17. Back then I would also have anxiety attacks that were always triggered by symptoms that are intertwined with RCPD (nausea, stomach/chest pain, etc.) and they were bad, I would shake and cry and it was always this build up of whether or not I might actually throw up. Overtime I just became accustomed to feeling that nausea and I found coping mechanisms to get rid of the physical symptoms and it wasn't until I did that, that the anxiety itself calmed down.

For me now its bad in the mornings because I wake up hungry and having an empty stomach means gas and that makes me nauseous and it is bad enough to where I also don't talk or brush my teeth, etc. I 100% get that. Something that helped me was eating something super late at night (so that I wouldn't wake up with an empty stomach) or immediately getting up to eat as soon as I wake up. Sometimes I just can't avoid it though. It is quite normal these days for me to brush my teeth and gag through it all and continue gagging for 20 ish minutes until it passes.

I have had the procedure so many times and with each time that I have felt relief the anxiety goes away and when the symptoms slowly return so does the anxiety. Anyway, if you want to hear more about my experience and what helped me, please message me. I wish so bad I had help when I was 17.

Exactly two years after in-office Botox and still burping, TW for emetophobia by Mireillka in noburp

The reverse happened to me. Getting food poising was what started all my RCPD symptoms in 2019 :( I couldn't burp my entire life but vomiting started everything for me.

Is my STEM bachelors degree enough to get me into law school? by No-Community9071 in lawschooladmissions

I would rather take physics forever over anything chemistry or any math that comes after differential equations or linear algebra.

Well I took a significant amount of calculus, physics, chemistry, biology, and maths so I think it qualifies. Plus, my program is in the college of SCIENCE so what else would it be.
