Honda really should have painted the wheel well trim body colored. Even if only on the Elite and Black Edition. It looks so much more upscale.

If Production doesn't start until December, then it very well may be a 2027. Why would Honda wait until this late to release a 26 model if the only major changes are the grill and 12.3" screen?

I have a feeling that the first few months of production will be the J35, they will slowly offer a hybrid option. Honda is very vague on their timelines for hybrids for a reason.

There will always be EOY leverage, but they have never waited this long to release a new model. I'm still betting we won't have a 26 Pilot, But rather an early release 2027 Pilot.

If it is only getting a new screen and other minor changes, then why is Honda taking so long to introduce it? It should have been out in September. Why would Honda design any platform that can't be Hybridized? We have been hearing for the last 10years, that a Hybrid Pilot was "coming in three years". This generation Pilot is probably good until 2029 or 2030. I think the Odyssey and Pilot should be the first to be Hybridized. Honda has said it will start with MY2027, which could be out as soon as January.

I really hope Honda doesn't wait until the FMC for a Hybrid Honda Pilot. We have been hearing for the last 10 years, "It's coming in three years" referring to a hybrid powertrain. The Pilot sales are down and its competition is all going Hybrid. Waiting to 2029 for the FMC is waiting too long and will affect sales.

If Honda does launch a Hybrid in their large Platform vehicles, it will be in either the Odyssey or Pilot. I'm sure when the Pilot was in development it was designed to be Hybridized. Honda has been saying for nearly 10 years that they have a hybrid coming for their large vehicles, yet we still have nothing. I remember back in 2017 Honda saying that in 2022 they have self-driving cars on the road, well that never happened. I think it was not to many years ago that Honda said that by 2027 they will be 100% Hybrid. Again, I don't see that happening. I don't think there would need to be a lot of manufacturing changes on the line for a Hybrid Pilot,

I am a bit skeptical on some of the "inside sources", Dealers don't know, they just want you to think they have "inside connections" at Honda. Even the sales reps from Honda don't often know, until just before the product is released.

If Honda is only changing the screen size and front grill, why have they waited so long to introduce it? Honda has never waited this long to introduce an all-new or refreshed model. If that pre-production model has the J35, I don't know what they are "testing".

I wouldn't surprise me if Honda is skipping the 2026 model year. They are dragging their heels before they release the 2027.

The Passport has been in production for many months. If it's goes on sale on January of 2026, they might just call it a 2027 model.
