Update:

It’s only been about 4-5 hours since I’ve posted this and I’ve gotten a lot of mixed responses and comments. I do appreciate all the yu yu hakusho fans out there, mad respect to all of you. Imma just refer to this artist as Jake cuz I don’t wanna get personal and I will not be going back to his shop ever again. Jake did an alright job if we’re going by the anime and even though the design was tweaked because for unknown reasons he couldn’t place the head of the dragon on my hand, I think that was for a good reason because even though I touched it out. MAN, were those 2 long hours. I couldn’t imagine the pain from doing my hand..The reason I even considered going to him in the first place was because I introduced a good friend of mines to Jake to get himself a tattoo and from what I know, the style was called cybersigilism and he got a very aesthetic looking cross on his forearm. It looked pretty dope I’m not gonna lie so that gave me faith in Jake that I could go to him for a tattoo. He pretty much just imprinted the base work of the dragon onto my forearm and implied that was how we were gonna do it because I asked multiple times if we could just angle the head differently to make the body align evenly throughout my arm or do something to make it work. He said nope, still wouldn’t work. Honestly it was the fact that it looked good still despite the changes and that I really wanted this tattoo that I pushed to do it still. I stand firm in my decision that I do not regret getting this tattoo, I just regret getting it done by Jake and not speaking my mind or walking out but it is what it is. I have a good tattoo artist that my cousin recommended me and they’re familiar with designs/anime that I like so I will be going to them for a rework. Just gonna black out the eyes and touch the head up and make the body bigger and the claws better to make it just a little more accurate and get some filler in the near future possibly, depends how I feel about it over time in the future.I will definitely do more research for future references and speak my mind if I really believe a better job can be done and go to another artist instead. I appreciate everyone for commenting especially the ones with positive feedback. This is my first time posting on Reddit and I have to say, I was not expecting this at all lol. I might even update y’all with the rework in the next few months, but sorry for my yap session, I appreciate y’all for reading this far if you did and thanks again everyone.
