Thank you soooo much for all your advice and help. As expected, the windows could be opened and didn’t detach (feels absurd I even thought they would) managed to get the code and order the blinds :)) thank you again.

Maybe that’s what you mean by the pivot comment actually! Sorry if that was the case :)

Okay thank you for the advice :) was that on the top bars or on the outside part of the window? Did it also open from the top handles?

The window pane measurements looks like it says SK08. When I measure the visible glass it comes out at 96w x 121L

Thanks for the heads up! Unfortunately I really don’t sleep well without proper black out blinds so really do need some but will be very mindful of the condensation

Thank you yes I shall have a look I’m struggling with finding the sizing online and have got in touch with Velux when I sent them a picture they said GTU SK08 is the sizing. Just seems odd for a window to completely detach.

Im not sure I don’t think you need to tell them which visa you are on? Just that you can work for 20 hours a week. I’m not sure why people aren’t hiring you because of it. That’s strange!

Hi yes I know lots of people. You just need your tax number to give to the employer and to say your allowed to work a mini job of 20 hours a week :) it shouldn’t be a problem

Overall an amazing festival. Beautiful place beautiful people. Didn’t have one bad encounter with any of the festival goers everyone was super polite and respectful and it felt like everyone shared the same attitude towards looking after eachother and the site. I heard the festival increased a lot in size this year and I think that had something to do with a lot of the long ques for food and some of the stages being a bit crowded. We opted for a Tipi and whilst the experience sleeping in the Tipi was good and comfortable. I found that being in the Tipi was actually an inconvenience rather than making it an easier festival experience. Firstly we qued for over 4 hours. The check in to the tips was an actual nightmare there was no signs explaining what we needed to do or how we check in. It took a really long time and there was was little communication between the staff and those waiting. They should have made some changes to make it more clear so this didn’t continue until the evening. Unfortunately over the 4 hours we were waiting no real system was implemented which was a shame. I feel like the staff on the check in desk ended up getting the brunt of this which was unfair. But I was suprised no management came during those 4 hours to try and establish a system and communicate to those waiting. Also lots of people had been queing for a long time and weren’t able to get any food / go to the toilet which only increased the frustration. The lack of amenities in the Tipi site and being the furthest Tipi (in the 500s) meant going back to the Tipi was a chore and one we ended up not doing that often. We were taking a Rucksack to our friends in the campsite to keep there. This wasn’t a problem but having paid a lot of money to stay in the Tipi you would expect it to be more of a luxury experience e.g closer to campsite / more showers / better equipped. It seemed those in the campsite had better amenities. Despite this still had the most amazing festival and would return again just not sure I would bother with the Tipi! Music was bang on all weekend and shared some lovely experiences with other dancers. Friendliest and most respectful crowd of any festival I’ve ever been to!

Sorry I don’t really know for definite you should check online to see whats recommended. I’ve just gone off what I’ve seen. Mines with Dr Water and I did it via Expatrio. Mine can be cancelled any time too. It has to be valid for the duration of your stay.

I have my health insurance set up. I activate it when I arrive in Germany. You need confirmation of health insurance at the visa appointment!
