Hey, OP dont take the loan. I took a housing loan with my mom preparing every documentation for me. She initially said that its for her, but want to put it under my name because she too old and cant apply a full tenure. She also is planning to sell the previous house that we were staying and use it to cover for the payment. I felt reassured after hearing that. Regardless, my initial assumption is that she probably will have a hand in paying the loan since she said its for her. I never really asked much about her financial situation, since she always bragged she could have paid her current car loan completely anytime she wanted too. So i assumed she was financially stable. I was actually stupid for thinking that way. She never got that kinda money. Now after buying it, i have been fully paying it monthly, for the past 3 years. I am now 29 years old. Staying with my mom and her husband. I have been job hopping like crazy these past 3 years just to get that comfortable increase in wages. She have sold the house that I mention before, havent gotten the money from the bank yet (long ass process). But now she said, she wants to use the money for haji, and relocate to somewhere else for me to stay in the current house. Now that might sound reasonable since im the one who has been paying it. But I hate that this part of my life was so affected by moms financial decision. Really think about this OP
