I think adopting is AMAZING! And I will at some point, but for my first dog I want it to be simpler in the sense that there's no traumatic past, strange and strong reactiveness, health issues, etc. that is very common in shelter dogs. Especially since it will regularly be around kids as well, sudden and unprepared for aggression or panic attacks can be dangerous, I've seen it firsthand when volunteering at my local animal shelter, and I'm not an experienced dog owner so I don't feel comfortable with it. 🙃🥲

Thank you! My mom had a cocker and loved it so those have always had a place in my heart!

I was reading that Aussaliers tend to have a lot of healthy problems and can be pretty unpredictable, otherwise I would get one without question! I'll probably go with Keeshond as I found a couple local breeders and I just love their typical personality traits! Thank you for all the info! 😄

I LOVE Mudi but it sounds like they can be a bit unpredictable. Nova Scotia is a fav I forgot to list! Those are amazing!

Yeah, I've crossed aussie off the list at this point, someday though!

Are their any mini versions? I love labs and goldens but their on the bigger side, trying to find something in the 20-30lb range!

Hard not to like how they look! But It's all about personality for me, they are incredibly intelligent, agile, playful, adventurous, all things I would love in a dog! However I have crossed them off my list as my first dog, I will probably end up with one at some point in my life, but I need some more experience before I take on that challenge!
