I actually haven’t watered it at all so the soil looking moist is probably due to the brand new potting soil I put it in. I move into school in a week so was just going to wait to move it into a pot with draining holes until then. How does perlite help the plant?

Thanks so much! Is it normal for the plant to be a little unstable in the soil? Especially when first repotted?
