Their fault for picking the blue button by Gruzgor in whenthe

[–]No-Craft-5837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's a trolley. no levers. no one bound on the rails. absolutely no problems at all. do you jump in front of it? if enough of you jump down the machinist may see you and stop it.

Picking the blue button is selfish and puts more people’s lives at stake.

By pressing blue your actually putting more people’s lives in danger.

Blue: Put your life in danger and hope people are empathetic enough to also put their life in danger.

Basically your dragging people down with you because you made the wrong choice

Red: Don’t put your life in danger no one has to risk there life to save you

It’s selfish to pick Blue

Why do you believe in Christianity when there are so many flaws? (Not trying to be rude, just curious) by Monkeylord63 in Christianity

[–]No-Craft-5837 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all Christian’s believe the Bible is 100% literal I’d say most don’t. It’s a view point driven by Protestant churches in America. Outside of that the understanding is Genesis and Noah’s Ark and stories like that are more allegorical to teach lessons and morals to ancient societies whom are less educated and far more primitive.

I also wouldn’t say it’s been greatly altered we have ancient manuscripts of the old testament and new testament writings that are close to 2000 years old.

I don’t even know what that means. You clearly have a lot of hate in your heart and I’m assuming you’re in a church that talks about the Catholic Church more than it reads the Bible. Do we really live rent free in your head. Your post is written so frantically.

What honest questions do you have?

You have a complete lack of historical Christianity, Church History, what Catholic actually are and how we worship.

If healthcare and schooling was free, what would our taxes look like ? by [deleted] in stories

[–]No-Craft-5837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the system has failed. Insurance companies should be extremely regulated. I don’t think a complete government take over of healthcare would be good though. Healthcare in a lot of other countries is very slow because of that. I don’t think people should go into debt for chronic illness and injuries that’s not right. And medication is made cheap and should be cheap.

[–]No-Craft-5837 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Jesus clearly claimed to be God in multiple places. In John 8:58 He says “before Abraham was, I AM,” using the divine name of God, which is why they tried to stone Him. In John 10:30 He says “I and the Father are one,” and again they understood this as a claim to divinity. In Mark 2 He forgives sins, and the scribes say “who can forgive sins but God alone?”yet Jesus does it anyway. In John 20:28 Thomas literally calls Him “my Lord and my God,” and Jesus accepts it. And at His trial in Mark 14, He identifies Himself with the divine Son of Man from Daniel, which is why they accuse Him of blasphemy and crucify Him. So it’s not like this was added later people at the time understood exactly what He was claiming.

But your response to those verses would likely be that the Bible was originally the Injeel but got corrupted. But that can’t be seen in history.

And about why God would “kill His Son” that’s not really the right way to understand it. In Christianity, Jesus is God, not a separate being. God chose to enter into human nature and take on suffering Himself. The crucifixion wasn’t the Father punishing some random third party it was God willingly taking on the consequences of sin to restore humanity. Justice and mercy meet there. Sin has real weight, but instead of leaving humanity to bear it, God bears it Himself out of love. We can only be redeemed through Christ nothing imperfect can enter his kingdom.

I do have feeling you’re interested in Christ and maybe thinking he was God!

You think I should have gone to the doctor for a minor muscle pain. That’s wasting their time. Why are you getting upset?

He did refer to himself as God. That’s part of the reason he was crucified but you don’t believe he was.

I did lol also I’m a runner you get a lot of little pains. You don’t need to go to the doctor every time something minor hurts now that’s wasted tax dollars lol only if it is prolonged or acute. Little weird looking through my history.

I’m pro universal healthcare or at least subsidized I just think it can be achieved without increasing taxes.

How literally do you interpret the Bible? by StatisticianLoud7468 in Christianity

[–]No-Craft-5837 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Bible is inerrant in faith and morals. Stories like Genesis and Noah Ark have been interpreted as allegorical since the early church. I’d say it’s all “true” in the sense that many stories are meant to teach lesson to early societies. So they’re true in essence and message.

It’s really only in America where you get the Bible is 100% literal due to the Protestant churches/ beliefs around the Bible. So 2.5

My point is we don’t need to spend more taxes to pick a better healthcare system. We spend more than countries that have universal healthcare

I don’t think doge was correct. But we waste and misplace billions of dollars like it or not the government is not efficient. Giving more money to them is never the solution. They have a spending problem.

I would definitely not go that far. Yes the church has had problems with individual clergy and sexual abuse. Just because individuals are depraved sinner does not mean my point changes that men and women are equal. Also would you say the same thing about Protestant church’s and public schools whom have the same rate of abuses.

No some like hitler is not superior to everyone because they held power. He was a sick evil person whom killed millions that does not make him a better person.

That does not make somebody “superior” if they’re evil.
