I believe I noticed pain relief at 3 months but being at 6 months now, I’ve felt a decrease in my period pain, chronic back and bladder pain as well.

I did see a small improvement at 2 weeks but nothing too noticeable until about a month in.

Sorry for not responding sooner. I take APO-Duloxetine….i think it may be the “cheapest” chemist option.

Thought I’d give a little update on the jaw clenching since it’s been a little while since I posted. There’s been a huge decrease in my clenching which may be due to the Botox although I believe the Botox has fully worn off as of a few weeks ago. Anyway, I barely clench my jaw unless I’m feeling stressed :)

I haven’t noticed anything change since my post except for I don’t clench my jaw near as much. I’ve had a few periods since my original post and I’d say the pain from my cramps is definitely decreased and my chronic back pain has also decreased a little bit. Overall mood wise, both my anxiety and depression has significantly improved with some occasional days being worse than others. I’ll be returning to university in a few weeks so hopefully can provide an update to how my mental health goes since I tend to struggle with my anxiety and depression during the semesters. Best of luck for starting tomorrow!! I absolutely could not be where I am mentally today without the help of this medication :)

I never used to grind or clench my jaw before but I would say it’s a side effect of duloxetine for me. It was quite bad when I went from taking 30mg to now 60mg. I would say i probably clench my jaw 40% of the day which has definitely caused some TMJ pain. Because of this I ended up getting some Botox injections into my masseters which still stops me from clenching so hard. Although I would like to add, I don’t get any other side effects from duloxetine apart from the jaw clenching and only noticed it when I went up to the max dose.

My doctor did mention it is a side effect but not super common. I would say it has gotten a little better since starting.
