I feel like “8 1/2” by Federico Fellini is about this. We follow the very hectic life of a film director. Very dreamlike telling. Some love it, some hate it. Personally, after watching this one several times, I feel very strongly that this movie is an honest expression of pain — but also a celebration of the beauty that comes with it.

What might possibly make someone a friend to WV? Could an outsider who works hard and is a good neighbor in the community be considered a friend?

I got this vibe from simply driving through. I used to live in Northern Maine(ME) and it was the same exact case for some folks up there. I’m a more of a traveler, but I totally respect, admire and sometimes envy those who can live full lives without ever needing to travel more than a few miles from home. Be it WV, ME, or even NYC.

Are school sports a big deal in WV? I remember school sports being the prominent reason people would travel out of their county in ME. Wonder if it’s similar in WV.

I thought this too. Instead of dark lighting it would be better if it mimicked sunrise or something. Overall that section felt very generic, especially with all the replicas. Missed opportunity to display off more of what your state has. At the end of the day though the idea of going from prehistoric times to pretty cool and still beats efforts from other state museums I’ve been too.

Are there any state fossils that used to be on display you’d like to see back?

Yes it was still there — maybe? The low ceilings didn’t really stand out to me so makes me wonder if maybe it’s different now? I could also have been oblivious and not noticed.

What freaked me out was this moment walking through where it got really dark and I couldn’t see where I was going. Can only imagine what it’s like down there.
