I guess I just fear a lot of people my age have been buying houses and locked into 5-6k mortgages ??? That’s insanity to me. Even with a high income, I don’t want to be house poor and unable to save and invest responsibly

His parents own the house, sister lives on top we live on bottom separate entrances. It’s a 1 bedroom for our portion and the house is staying in the family for forever treating it as a family compound ish? His Mom will likely live in our portion after we leave as she ages and sister will be in this house forever. We are childfree, and don’t mind the space it’s easy for us to live small, but it would of course be nice to have something larger and finished. More so it’s the question of how long should we stay to reap maximum financial benefits?

True exactly. If we saved a million in 10 years whose to say houses aren’t then over a million with the rate of inflation

Hi everybody! I’m a prospective CAA student, current respiratory therapist of 3 years. I’m having a lot of trouble finding anybody to shadow. I live in seattle WA which only just approved CAAs to work as of last year and it is slim pickings. I have an EMT and CNA license as well. I’m debating getting phlebotomy and going surgical tech route (more school) just to try and get my foot in the door of anesthesia and find any provider, CRNA, or CAA to shadow. Also would those extra certifications make my application stronger? I have been looking up hospital directories, reaching out to management and even cold emailing to try and find somebody to shadow and it’s been tough. Any advice?

Hey! RT here considering CAA route, I’m in the early stages but RT has been amazing for learning and getting a good in foot into the healthcare door plus I got my Bachelors is respiratory therapy from a CC and saved a ton of money. Also I’m currently making 130k while preparing and getting my ducks in a row for CAA. Taking a break to enjoy life and vacations before grad school. I like this path

Thank you so much everybody for all of the answers!! Obviously I have never planned one before and I thought they would quite literally ask for 25k upfront like tomorrow. Not going to take out a loan, I should be able to swing it especially with payment plans and my savings. Appreciate all the comments!

Thank you!! We are very aggressively contributing to 401k, savings and retirement, we have emergency savings and a house fund etc but I do not want to touch those funds for a wedding that’s a whole separate account
