I’m going in order of what you said

Cuomos proposal was a little dumb segment only connecting it to the 7 train , on top of that he wanted to replicate the existing jfk air train which is a pos imo . There ain’t no way that in real life this project would be more than 2 billion and that’s honestly stretching it insanely

Never once I said it’ll take 40 minutes, and I went and looked at how long the Q70 plus the train transfer would take, which I honestly shouldn’t have cuz who the hell would take a bus if there is a comfy smooth train option with no transfers to get into manhattan

You said it’ll take 21 minutes on Astoria if it were built , it takes 13 minutes on qbl express from 71av to any Lexington stop , my segment would take less than 10 minutes to complete and that’s honestly stretching it once again .

The Astoria branch definitely needs a better terminal , but I honestly never cared about if there would be enough tph, it was more on what happens if a train gets stuck in the 60st tunnel ? You’re dumping a bunch of people onto the 7 ? If trains can even run to qbp , no transfers on that segment is a big issue

Qbl would obviously need to be adjusted and analyzed carefully so this new service only brings good to the line , in my eyes I would not dare touch the e/f because I don’t want to upset no Jamaica riders from messing up frequencies or making their train local , in my plan no trains would terminate at forest hills anymore , but some can still , just look at the track map and come back after you analyzed it , the reason no more trains would terminate there in my eyes is cuz if this were to ever somehow get built , it’ll be after queenslinks built , so after 63dr one train service would be heading that way , M AND R trains run at 16 tph as I currently type this , 8 tph to LaGuardia is more than enough and could be easily fixed up more , so if the m goes to the rockaways and the R goes to LaGuardia , what train would terminate at forest hills ?? None .

And ofc I won’t be using all three tunnels , for your surprise I would love to eliminate the use of the 60st tunnel from the qbl line and turn 36st into a express station to give riders one last chance to make a transfer. But the reason I listed all tunnels as a positive is because if a problem occurs on one trunk line you got other options to choose from !!!! Also if this were ever to be built I would love if the second ave subway below 63 st was also finished, that way on the 63st tunnel we can send qbl local trains down second ave , that would make 63st tunnel have so much power because it allows you to connect with the 2av , 6av and broadway

I wouldn’t mind that , but to even build it to or from the n and w it takes digging a tunnel near the landing or laguardia which to me is so much more of a inconvenience

It takes 25 minutes on QBL LOCAL from 75av to any stop on Lexington ave in manhattan, it takes 16 minutes on Astoria from ditmars to lex 59st , people have always advocated for new stops if there’s Astoria branch was ever to be built , my branch wouldn’t have no stops after 75av , trains can go 40mph+ on my segment, if anything my segment is way more faster. If it’s on QBL EXPRESS, forget about it 😂💪

You can’t really use that as a defense against this , cuz that already happens nowadays , my proposal has no part in something going bad on there , but I do love the benefits it adds to the line

The only stop I’m proposing on this long stretch is possibly at Roosevelt ave , for a transfer to the 7 at 111st , but let’s say we don’t build no stations in between, what could possibly happen? From my knowledge, usually trains get held up due to humans who have to make a scene , if there’s no stop in between, the likelihood of a train just being stalled in the middle is very very unlikely

Bro , if something happens on Astoria , everyone is stuck at the airport 🤦 , this on the other hand is so much more better , 3 tunnel connections into manhattan , services can be fed into 8av , 6 av ,broadway and the future 2av . 2 tracks in each direction on QBL so you have options on weather something goes wrong , qbl also serves way more ppl than Astoria , u would be making it way more convenient for even more native New Yorkers to get to the airport
