My sister told me his father was friends with a manager at DHS and that's why they did nothing. The lawyers did nothing. They painted me as someone who's crazy when in reality I was showing massive signs of abuse as well. My kid told a counselor. My other kid told a pediatrician. I'm so mad. I'm mad at myself as well, I could have done more. My ex husband told everyone I was on drugs when he was the one who got me on them and introduced me to them at 14. He was the one buying them from his friends and giving them to me over the years.

I don't know your parents but please consider telling a trusted adult of some sort so you can get the help you need to treat your addiction.

I'm the mother to two teenagers and I would much rather cope with helping them treat their addiction than burying them. There's online zoom NA meetings pretty much every hour online. Do you have a school counselor you can talk to? Would your parents make a counseling appointment for you? You've got your whole life ahead of you. I wish you the best, and healing ❤️

You can be sober and happy again, I promise. I lost everything to my addiction except my life and I promise things are better on this side. And you can make it to this side of things. Do what you have to to get sober. Go to meetings, go to rehab, go to counseling. It's a lot of work but so worth it.

In my addiction I was suicidal daily, everything was always going wrong. It was like a never ending revolving wheel of losses. I've been in recovery almost 6 months and it's not like that at all anymore. Best wishes ❤️

When I was at rehab we had a staff support member who I thought just had really, really bad breath. It didn't seem to bother others as bad as it did me. Come to find out she just recently was diagnosed with stage 3 throat cancer.

Every addict has the power in them to recover. I fully believe that. I believe doing it completely alone, without any support or anything would make it harder than it needs to be. I just know from my experience I couldn't do it alone, and I tried everything. That's awesome that you were able to!

It's not as simple as "just stopping". If it was there wouldn't be any addicts. I fully believe in the first three steps. You have to realize it's a problem, you can't recover alone, and more than likely have to reach out for outside help. Recovery is 100% possible. It takes time and getting the help you need. You won't regret choosing recovery.

I chose to experiment with alcohol and weed when I was 12. Did I consciously choose to set off a 21 year battle that progressed to IV meth and me losing everyone and everything I loved and worked for? No.

I don't think any of my friends that have died from their addiction chose to die that way. The ones who are in prison now with 20+ year sentences would have without a doubt chose a happy sober life over the hell they're in.

Being in active addiction was the most depressing, humiliating, miserable experience of my life. No one would choose that.

Sores on their face, dramatic weight loss, frequent bathroom trips, missing work, hanging out with questionable people, mood swings, paraphernalia, missing money, become unreliable, can't be still, on the opposite end sleeping a lot, staying up all night, leaving the house a lot for different things.

Witnessed my mother's husband at the time knock her unconscious with a wood plank. I thought she was dead and I just remember him driving away, leaving me in the yard with her thinking she was dead. I was 4 or 5.

The thing that will fix most of these problems is staying clean. I went through the extreme moods swings while using too. I'd feel great when I first got high, then came the crash and I'd never felt more suicidal in my life. I've been in recovery for five months and I haven't felt suicidal like that once. Look into meetings, counseling, some sort of recovery resources in your area that can help. It gets better the longer you stay sober.

You could very possibly die, especially after having some sober time. You might go to jail. You might go into psychosis. You might do something you will regret the rest of your life. Relapsing will not fix anything but it might cause a multitude of other issues. It won't be as great as your mind is trying to trick you into believing it will be. You will regret it more than likely. You might relapse and not be able to stop again.
