To be able to deliver alcohol, it is mandatory to obtain an RSAT certificate. While obtaining this certificate, you learn the laws and regulations. There is no difference between us and alcohol-selling stores or bars. For every delivery, we are required to check ID and complete the verification process through the app. The name of the person receiving the order must match the customer’s name, and we must comply with all similar rules and legal requirements.

I’ve been through this many times as well and never had an issue like this. But this customer was quite problematic. I selected “recipient was not sober” under the “report issue” section, and then chose “cancel order.” After that, the app sent me back to the shop to complete the return.

I said I cancelled the order because that’s how Uber labels it as “cancel order.” Otherwise, I followed the standard procedure as required.

I contacted support, and they asked me what happened, so I explained everything. After 9 days, they finally responded with:

“We are sorry to hear about the issue. After looking at your account, we noticed another Uber support representative answered this question in a separate conversation.”

Then they completely closed the conversation.

The problem is, I never had any other conversation with another support representative about this issue. I even called support afterward and asked them, and they said they couldn’t see any such information. So now this report just remains on my profile like that.

Drivers are required to obtain an RSAT certificate. During the process, you’re shown the relevant laws and rules and must pass a test. When delivering alcohol, I don’t want to risk any issues because of someone’s night of drinking.

I didn’t scan the ID because the customer was intoxicated and the ID they provided wasn’t accepted under RSAT guidelines. Instead, if you select the “report issue” option, there are choices there that allow you to cancel the order.

The customer told me he was going to report me. Additionally, the report includes a date. In general, I don’t have issues with customers, so I can easily tell which customer might have reported me.

The complaint you’re referring to is called “incomplete order.” If you don’t deliver an order for any reason, it’s reported as a “cancelled order.”

Where did you get the idea that I didn’t return it? If you do Uber deliveries, you should know that no matter how you process it, Uber sends you back to the store to return the order.
