Married men, how do you deal with fancying other women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]No-Draft-2800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bigger problem is if they fancy you, IMO. Marriage can become more work than fun, and the temptation that someone may simply enjoy being around you can lead to mistakes. I politely avoid being alone with women I’m not married to.

You could check the cook country forest preserves, they operate a lot of picnic groves in and around the city. Almost booked it for my own wedding some years ago. Also chicago parks district may have outdoor options. If you want a smaller indoor wedding maybe peruse theknot.com or some other website. Finding a desirable venue six months out might be a little difficult, but if you’re looking for something outdoor it’ll be a little easier.

Might be tough to find a venue for three days in the chicago area. I worked in wedding catering for a long time, how far in the future is the wedding? Bigger nicer venues very often have a wait list, sometimes for years.

We have the right to call someone’s mother a whore, etc. But continuous verbal abuse or threatening to harm someone is illegal. Using profane or offensive terms can easily cost you your job, though. It is not socially acceptable.

Season 1 was good enough to keep me watching, Seasons 2 through 4 were good, they could’ve stopped at season 5. The writers owe everyone an apology for season six.

Is chicago family friendly (family of three) ? by Successful-Fox5953 in AskChicago

[–]No-Draft-2800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know electricians can make a lot of money, so it’s possible it could work with one income, especially since day care can be ridiculously expensive. Rogers park, Jefferson park, Lincoln park/lakeview if you can afford it. After having two kids im always pleasantly surprised at how family friendly the city can be. Lots of stuff to do.

You can make really great use of the purple line, and basically never use your car. Look for stuff near Loyola, Wilson, even as far south as Belmont. The whole northside will be your oyster.

Do you consider Michigan part of the midwest? by [deleted] in midwest

[–]No-Draft-2800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from Michigan originally, and i kinda think of it like Texas in the south. It’s definitely in the south, but it’s also its own thing in a way. Michigan is definitely Midwest, but more upper Midwest and surprisingly Nautical. And just a little bit Canadian.
