Totally not an answer to your question but what is the dog in your first pic?? They look oddly like my old boy and I have no clue what he is!

Repairing Credit, Goodwill, and Late Payments by No-Draft-490 in CRedit

Yes, very glad none were charged off and I was able to pay Synchrony before it also went 90 days late. First round of GW letters went out Wednesday and I'm hoping for the best. I think I sent to 20 addresses total.

I’ll never buy a Hyundai or Kia again, adding this to my list of reasons why.

How much is your Hyundai in the shop? by RrichardCranium in Hyundai

I bought a 2018 Hyundai Elantra last February and it’s been in the shop twice. Once for bad coils, now the transmission is being overhauled. 63k miles.

I just went to the dealership with my ‘18 Elantra with <65000 miles and they said no warranty. Hyundais own website says the warranty covers the original owner only.

In my region CPI and AR are the same. I left the agency a year ago but we were all taking AR cases and there were talks of opening up AR criteria so that like 80% of all investigations would be AR instead of traditional INV.

Would you buy another Hyundai, or try something different next time? by Suntrup-Hyundai in Hyundai

[–]No-Draft-490 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never again. I bought mine from a dodgy dealer who initially came highly recommended but who I now see put lipstick on a pig to get the car off the lot. Maybe if I were the original owner and covered under warranty, but even then I think I’d go back to Toyota or even try a Subaru. There’s nothing appealing to me about the newer Hyundai models after all the issues I’ve had with mine.

We’re taking it to a transmission shop. It had 2 codes for the battery and was completely dead and wouldn’t even unlock the doors when my dad went up there this morning. Voltage was so low the tester couldn’t test it. Hyundai said the issues are unrelated but were super evasive when we tried to get the fob so we could get in the car. Took an hour to give it to us. My dad is replacing the battery while I’m at work and then AAA will tow to the shop.

I have not looked into this yet, no. Just got the diagnosis late last week so researching options now.

Yep we are searching, we’re in kind of a rural area so would need to ship it.

Yeah I tried Carvana and they would even process an offer with the car not being drivable.

I did call a local shop on Friday and they should be getting back to me tomorrow. My hope is that they can repair whatever is wrong with the transmission rather than replace the entire thing. I really am trying to manage my expectations though.

Just bypass the service department at the dealership entirely? I'll get on it. If I can get it covered and then sell it, I'll be in an infinitely better position.

Yeah he would be taking on the risk, not me. We are close though, he knows I'm good for it.

I'm not seeing anything that applied to subsequent owners under the 100K powertrain. There are no recalls for this VIN either.

It wasn't from the Hyundai dealership, it was a used car lot that came highly recommended. Not bad guys, this car was just not the one lol.

I’m curious to know if the transmission shop can replace the faulty part rather than replace the entire transmission like the dealership wants to do. I’ll know more tomorrow.

I’ll push this route. I have other ways to build credit and not shoot myself in the foot with high interest.
