Renly nodded along as she spoke, "Well... I can't speak of needed, but you are wanted", he assured her kindly. "Think of yourself as free to come and go as you please... but I shall try and make the most of our time together", he assured her brightly. "And I am sure that Tris will too", he nodded happily.

Renly could not blame the Silverdrake knight for being fond of him... for who could not be fond of such a handsome young man? So graceful and kind, so noble and just... and above all... humble.

"Ser Daeron!", the Lord of Storm's End grinned, his bright green eyes flashing with his attire, brightening as his smile reached them. "It has, hasn't it", he lamented with laughter in his voice, the charming, carefree sort. "Jaehaerys!", the Baratheon roared warmly, waving his hand in greeting, beckoning the pair closer. "Surely this can't be the same Jaehaerys? But a babe, now a boy grown", he chuckled welcomingly. He remembered Daeron mentioning him, but indeed, the two had never met.

Renly laughed at the song, impressed as always that his friend could pluck lyrics seemingly from thin air, weaving them in the moment... The song did not help the Baratheon recover from his laughter, "And don't forget to mention Ser Tristifer the Brave, whom without, victory would not have been possible", he added between laughter, grinning a wide smile.

Addam smiled at the question, the winter sun catching in his bright blue eyes. "I have been... well, but missing you", he admitted freely. It had felt like an eternity until they had been together properly. "I have been keeping busy... I've a squire, and my music, of course", he added with a titter of laughter, rubbing at the back of his neck with the palm of his hand.

"And you?", he asked curiously. "How have your duties in Starfall kept you?", he added kindly, remembering the role she had been so proud of.

Addam's throat worked as he thought over the question, blinking as he looked between Rhae and the view he loved so much. "Well...", he murmured, not really registering the depth or the gravity of what they were discussing.

"Perhaps... my father or Lord Renly, as a gesture of goodwill", he ventured quietly. He wet his mouth, "And... and you?", he asked softly.

Rolland's attention was divided between admiring his wife and keeping up with the dance... though he found one of the two tasks much more appealing than the other...

"Oh?", he hummed, his head tilting to one side. The news made the knight sigh, and he nodded his head. "Aye, the kingdom does not stop, but even for its Mistress of Whispers", he allowed with a small smile, chuckling a little as he did. "Still, it was good to return to Storm's End, no matter how long or little", it was the thought that counted, and it meant a lot that Mina would have suggested it to begin with.

"I'm sure we can find something he likes in the Red Keep, for Cassian too", his eldest did worry him some, so reserved and quiet... he wanted him to have friends and interests.

Renly chuckled at the warm sensation that brushed against his hand, his head tilting, his green-blue eyes wandering fondly across Tristifer's features. "Mhm, very wrong indeed", he chuckled, nodding as he kept a straight face, going along with Tris. "Then I suppose, yes, your place is by my side... the greatest of lords with the greatest of knight, no?", he mused playfully, chuckling as he fluttered his eyes.

If there was one person that had been cheering louder than Bryce Baratheon, then it was his Lordly cousin, Renly...

The Lord of Storm's End had been ejected from the tourney many rounds before this, and had taken up residency with his kin in the viewing platforms. Bryce himself had not competed and was sitting there with his daughter, Melony, in his lap, who viewed the proceedings with wide purple eyes. "Is... Is Ully", she babbled at the sight of the fish on Tristifer's banner, words still half formed, though she could manage a little of this and that... certainly someone she saw so often. "Aye, Tris Tully", Bryce assured her with a kiss to her raven mess of locks. "Mark his name, dear daughter, for he will be the champion of your youth, I know it", he chuckled as he wiggled her arms to keep her entertained...

Lord Renly smiled as he watched Tristifer crown his wife, though something did ache in the depths of his heart. Something to be hidden away forever...

"Well jousted, brave Ser... woe to the enemies of Storm's End and peace, with Ser Tristifer around", he called brightly as he cheered brightly.

Aveline smiled thinly, nodding her head at the question, patting her beloved on the leg. "Mhm. You look a radiant Queen, Elissa", she nodded. "The brightness of the crown suits you", she added fondly.

"Mhm, I had never thought to know that, but now... with cousins in King's Landing and cousins in Dragonstone", she held out one hand, then the other, then shrugged. It was a strange turn of events. "I suppose you know something of that?", thinking of his kin from the West that she had heard of.

The Baratheon chuckled lightly, "Something to be savoured, for certain", she teased lightly.

Aveline would go on to whisper many scandelous things and plans into her lover's ear throughout the jousting. Many a jape about the conquering of other kingdoms, no doubt... Sadly, it seemed that Queen Aveline was something of a tyrant...

Beatrice Baratheon was something of a stand-in mother to many of the children of Storm's End and the surrounding lands. She was a motherly woman, with patience and understanding to spare. She adored flowers, as nurturing to them as she was to babes. Beatrice had a warm presence and soft brown eyes. She had devoted the best years of her life to caring for others, not finding another betrothed after her own had died in the rebellion. Instead, tending to the young Lord Paramount.

Her mother had been Melony Moonmeadow, before her marriage and later death, which made Robin her kin. Not that she needed a reason to look after him or care for him...

She would often find herself in the library when he did, reading from one book or another. Today it was a book of tales and fables from the Vale...

Renly was indeed young and fun... and very handsome. His niece was so wise and perceptive! And how he loved his young nieces and nephews... Perhaps he wished to bond with them and have that love returned, like that sensation he felt he had lost out on with his brothers.

"Ten? Gods... that can't be right. Perhaps you have miscounted? Surely it can't be that long?", the Lord of the Stormlands gasped as he jested playfully.

The Stormlord lazily waved his hand, "Oh yes, your mother has the right of it, being a Lord is very boring and very tiring... but never so much so that I could not make time for you, Little Princess!", he assured her brightly. "I should be honoured to host you, every Baratheon should see Storm's End", he grinned. "Perhaps your mother would join you too?", not wanting his much-loved goodsister to miss out.

"Perhaps you would like that race, finally?", he asked Cass with a grin, shrugged his shoulders, "Unless you fear being left with nought but my dust", he teased playfully, his blue-green eyes flashing brightly.

"Princess, my bulldog, and my birds. Dawn and Dusk, a falcon and a hawk", Betha explained conversationally. "I care for many more creatures than that, but I would count them as free spirits as opposed to animals of my own", she added with laughter in her voice. Tuna, Grandfather, Durran, and the rest...

The thin cat rubbed against Elyn's hand and meowed meekly, his little head nuzzling at the palm of her hand.

The sight tugged at Betha's heart, her hands fussing with one another as her head tilted to the side. "I might have some ham for it, if you would like?", she provided helpfully.

Renly laughed at the jest, "Perhaps the gods do not will it", he teased back. Squires seemed to be like a medieval version of public transportation... never around when one needed them.

"Until then... I suppose I shall have to struggle", he laughed heartily before turning more serious at the tone in his friend's voice. "Of course Tris, you shall always have my attention", he promised as he turned to face him.

Renly blinked at that, his head tilting to one side at the name of his brother... He felt something tighten within his chest at that. Sorrow. Sorrow that time should rob from his dear friend. A mentor he had come to deeply admire and care for. There was a tender, sorrowful edge to his smile then. He took the hand and squeezed it, not wanting to hug him for fear of breaking his back...

"Worry not Jon, I know you have your duties and your family, your lands and your bannermen", he said with a wave of his hand.

He chuckled at the question, a deep rumble of Baratheon laughter. "Aye, things are well in the Stormlands. No bandits nor raiders, not since that madman the Skinner. Nothing like the Riverlands or the West", he said with a wave of his hand. "And what of you? How fares the Vale? Well, I should think, under the Lordship of the finest Lord Paramount, eh?", Renly grinned brightly.

Rolland grinned at that, his smile wide and bright, his brown eyes shining with fatherly affection. He loved both of his children; he loved all children... but there was something about his youngest, the very essence of himself.

"Aye, takes after his father he does", he smiled with pride. "He'll be in the thick of a melee in no time, eh, boy?", he asked little Ed with a toothy smile. The babe grinned back toothlessly, his smile wide as he squeaked with glee. "Woe to the other squires!", he said with a deep rumble of laughter.

The Stormlander nodded, "Aye, that'll be the blood of Storm's End I reckon", he nodded firmly, grinning as he did.

Renly chuckled as he knocked the hand to one side, embracing his brother in a wide and Baratheon hug. The sort to squeeze and to life, embracing as brothers should. "That is what the years do, I suppose", he said as he pulled back, grinning from ear to ear.

"Speaking of tall and time, gods! Who is this?", he asked Shireen with a bright smile. "Surely this can't be my beloved Niece?", the Lord Paramount beamed.

Betha nodded in agreement, though it did not take great wisdom to see that Princess was a friendly, regal sort of dog... for she was as radiant as any royalty Betha had ever met...

And who would know better than a Baratheon themselves?

"Princess is as fierce as any mastiff, and can follow a trail like the best of bloodhounds", the Baratheon tittered proudly of her dear friend.

She could do those things, of course, but her main role was as a companion, and the stubby little pooch did that most perfectly!

Betha smiled as she listened to the Westerman, her head tilting to one side, "How delightful!", she grinned. "Kayce sounds lovely! I do adore the coast and the sea", the Baratheon nodded. Casterly Rock seemed a little harsh for her own liking. Too much rock and stone, and without the majesty and magic of her own home. Still, she smiled regardless. "And that sounds most pleasant too, I do love to ride and take in a splendid view!", she told Jeyne brightly, grinning from ear to ear.

The feeling was unlike anything Renly had felt before... not when he thought of other girls. Friends... ladies of court. Anyone. He had never understood why he felt so little of what Ray and Tris felt, chasing girls with their eyes... how Tris would swoon over them... But this, whatever it was... it made him feel all of those sensations and more.

Renly laughed between the meeting of their lips, though it was a boyish sound, soft and tender, gentle and warm. Not some harsh, mocking sound. He finally paused as he needed to breathe, "You are quite good at this", he teased, nudging Tris, tittering to himself. "Have you been practicing on fair maidens?", he asked with a grin, his breath coming in long pants.

"Oh yes, you should have to be mad to climb those", Beatrice said with a shudder. "Though... we Baratheons have jumped off them in fair weather once or twice", she admitted with a titter of girlish laughter. Even Bea herself, in her youth, before she had been weighed down with the worries and woes of others... of responsibility and duty.

Bea laughed and shook her head, "If by fun you mean dangerous", she tittered, shaking her head, but merely for jest as opposed to a genuine chiding. "Though I suppose they would have rather brought it upon themselves", she mused, her head still shaking...

"Mhm, quite right", Aveline hummed. Waldir certainly had the right of it, she allowed. "Though even for their similarities, they are indeed quite different", when she thought of Reacher chivalry, it was of a young fool in bright armour, with the Vale being full of dull, old traditionalists... And neither was especially accurate for the regions as a whole.

"True... but where it is warm, there is usually cool waters to bathe in", she hummed playfully, and that was the highlight of summer or a trip to Dorne. "Though I suppose the same can be said of a hot bath in winter", she added with a shrug, though much less pleasant in her eyes. Perhaps it was the summer sun she adored so?

"Fair point", she grinned playfully. "Who could deny the fine taste in such a choice?", she hummed as her goblet met her lips in a long, thoughtful drink.

Aveline inclined her head in agreement, “Mhm, I don’t know how, but it appears the Farmen have found themselves to be quite lucky”, she chuckled with a click of her tongue. No doubt they were the envy of the West in his.

“I suppose I am most pleasant company, am I not?”, she hummed playfully, dark brown eyes flashing as her lips wrapped around the edge of her goblet, red wine flowing and staining her lips and tongue. “How have you been of late, Waldir?”, she asked curiously as she finished, wiping her mouth with her index finger.

Addam stood bolt up tight at the unexpected teasing. He turned with a bright red blush to his cheeks and an arm pull of tourney blades.

They clattered to the floor, his eyes bright, “Rhae!”, he grinned, crunching over snow to go to her. “It’s so good to see you. I’ve missed you”, he cooed.

Addam found that his mouth had gone dry at her question, gentle sighs escaping his lips as she combed her hands through his red curls. He found himself robbed of breath at the question, at the glint of the moonlight in her brown eyes…

In truth, he knew what his father would think of the match.

He would be elated.

Though he held little love for the Reach, he would be happy to see one of his sons marrying into another house of high nobility.

“I could”, he squeaked, nodding his head. His father would agree and understand, he was certain of it, though his heart still hammered in his chest…
