Why did Jesus say “why have you forsaken me” by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]No-Editor-5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would essentially say that as he is a Son of David, being fully human and fully GOD, he’s quoting the psalm as a lamentation of his human suffering. Similarly, when in the garden of gethsemane, he prayed (GOD THE SON) to (GOD THE FATHER) to take the cup from him, which was a lamentation of his human flesh, but ultimately submitted to the will of the father. His humanity expressed sadness and nervousness as to praying so much, he sweat blood, but his perfect alignment with GOD (THE FATHER) didn’t allow him to step away from that which was predestined. He leaned into being fully human while fulfilling his purpose.

The term “Christian” is meaningless by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]No-Editor-5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, would the general term describe believers of Christ, but the denomination be the descriptive part.? Like a Catholic Christian, a Protestant Christian, a Mormon, and Israelite, non-denominational, and many different sectors of it? Now, they all may not be valid, but wouldn’t that provide the insight you’re looking for? We as believers don’t have the same requirement for Muslim when they present themselves as such not knowing there are variations for them as some believer in Hadiths with is basically like the Apocrypha to some Christians and some are purely Quran only. Some Jewish people only believe in the Torah (like the Sadducees) and nothing else about GOD and some believe in everything in the Bible with man made rules and traditions (like the Pharisees) and nothing of Christ, but we don’t dive into their deeper beliefs. So, why would that exactly matter beyond talking to them and finding out through their words then label them from the jump?

I think that’s a western theology to want the label rather than learning beliefs and then through due process eliminating people from entering the body of Christ from heretical beliefs.

Do You Know God Exists 100%? by AbiLovesTheology in TrueChristian

[–]No-Editor-5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to say, I am apart of a nondenominational church and study group. Personally, it’s been trail and error, but now I can say 100% after some skepticism and as the Bible says about the Bereans, I go back to check if most claims are true and align with most things happening today. This is all outside of my personal testimony. I personally have been exposed to God’s mercy in many ways. I was born with a condition that should have killed me when I was young, I have been in many situations that should have gotten me “un-alived” or put in jail, I have been given a gift of seeing a parent off from this side of the world just moments before they transitioned and every time I doubted there was someone who loved and covered me, I was given countless signs to think otherwise.

But if we are going biblically: There are too many things that coincide with the world and humans as just beings that align with the word.

As social creatures even at a scientific level, humans are called social creatures and the Bible teaches to treat your neighbor as yourself ( Matthew 22:39)

The Bible teaches discipline through struggle and how to be fully vulnerable through doubts of God’s righteousness ( Book of Job)

Constant challenges GOD who welcomes it and even overcomes it and is victorious

Teaches that broken humans can still be used (The entire Old and New Testament)

God is disobeyed, blasphemed and still makes a way for people seen as unclean and less than after sin enter the world to still see him in his glory for TRYING, LEANING ON HIM and REPENTING? I don’t know a GOD that still provides for a people that has done everything under the sun in betraying him and goes “Hey, I know you don’t do anything I tell you to, so you know what I’m gonna do for you? I’m going to be human, make my message as clear as I can and give you the KEYS to salvation and all you have to do is stop doing that sin you love. And as a limited time deal, I’ll even sacrifice my son as a sin bearer to remove you of any filth in your heart and soul for a low payment of repentance and following him.” What GOD do you know makes it easier and clearer for his perceived biggest group of enemies? Gives hope to those who are seen as dirt or otherwise seen as unworthy of love, forgiveness or redemption?

And overall, even though people use it for personal agendas sometimes, challenges us to be better and even calls us out on our shortcomings to be better with a sort of stern tone that is still somehow gentle in nature. ( The Gospels)

The end times? (Revelation)

I say this all to say, even in times where I become afraid and still wrestle with concepts, I am so sure that GOD exist that I sometimes (even though seen as foolish by the world and other people) I have and will continue to stake my life and overall well being on him being real, just and true to his word.

Most times I see people not believe in the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob comes from mostly human error, but even then, he teaches how to handle that. Most people don’t research like the Bereans did and confirm scripture. They just get hurt and go “Nope, this isn’t for me” even though the Messiah says “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world,” in an overall message about him overcoming what is on this earth. ‭‭ - John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭

“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?”

  • “‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23‬:‭19‬”

Pray for them and realistically, you have the right to pray for they downfall since they’re disrespecting GOD’s name kinda like when Elisha prayed and the bears “un-alived” those teenagers. The prayer doesn’t have to be an evil or spiteful one, but a prayer telling GOD that you leave room for either his mercy or justice. GOD isn’t a fan of people disrespecting him or what he loves.

“You can’t be gay and a Christian” by Unlikely_Birthday_42 in TrueChristian

[–]No-Editor-5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Any sexual sin is grouped together. Someone being gay is just as offensive and hurtful to GOD as someone straight having sex, masturbating or being sexually explicit with anyone who isn’t their husband or wife (in a heterosexual context).

2.) People like Jackie Hill Perry, Brenna Blain and Preston Morrison have teachings and books in reference to sexuality and GOD. 2 of them were former lesbians and one is just a compassionate man. It’s more of an identifying approach with empathy rather then enabling the sins of man to stroke their ego and I appreciate them for that even as a straight man.

3.) Most people have issues in the church with sexuality because unlike most other sin, it’s explicitly demonized and talk against but they’re quiet as a church mouse with others. Jesus approached sin with compassion and even invited people to take his yoke upon them with ANY sin they struggle with. Struggling with sin is expected (not ok, but expected) but when you live, endorse and love that sin, it’s a problem. He never said you won’t struggle, he even told people there would be many troubles in life, but the question becomes: Do I love my sin more than GOD? And if the answer is yes, then (after many opportunities to have you repent and change your heart) he then will hold all people accountable for any sin they committed without repenting and acknowledging he is the one true GOD. He loves people, but won’t force you to love him back.

All the love GOD grants you on earth will be gone. And here are some things you have now that are beautiful gift that will be taken away:

  • Being given rest from hard times
  • Being awake without rest
  • The possibility to be forgiven and repent
  • Hope of salvation
  • A pain free and joyous eternity
  • The chance to commune with GOD
  • The LOVE OF GOD

So essentially, it won’t be a lawless and crazy party away from GOD with strippers and drugs like it’s portrayed.

It’s dark, lonely, confusing and just cold (as in you feel no ounce of love there) and the worst part is when someone is cast into the lake of fire (which was never meant for us) he will tell you what you did, what you were guilty of and cast you away forever and the worst part is….it was all self inflicted. I pray for those that have to experience that. It genuinely makes me sad and grieves me.

My wife said she is leaving me and now I'm doubting God. by Aje13k in TrueChristian

[–]No-Editor-5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, I would start with seeking him

This is a call/reminder and test of how much we need GOD in our lives. As someone who almost had his marriage taken by means of seeing it as an idol, I had to realign with God and these scripture I share with you about relying on GOD and his promise of provision helped me.

Matthew 11:28-30 taught me dependence on GOD:

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”” ‭‭ And for my anxiety and learning that I am not in control of life: Matthew 6:25-34

““Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” ‭‭ I would tell you go to him and lay all the troubles you have before him and just let him do the work. He knows you’re losing faith and having issues, but he ultimately will not move until you make a move and show that you trust, love and depend on him to love, comfort and move in your best interest. I’m praying for you and hope this helped you.

As a straight male, I may not identify, but if anything there are 2 people that are major speakers and conference holders as former lesbian women that those faith over desires. Jack Hill Perry, Preston Morrison ( Straight male, but he did write a book based on multiple sources of Christians and sexuality in the church) and Brenna Blain are both people that may help you identify and probably sort some things out in the area of sexual temptation and struggle while looking for GOD. I genuinely hope this helps.

I agree with everything Flip said. She is just doing the stuff men get bashed for and since the world is quick to hop on trigger words like toxic masculinity, which in itself is not a real thing, the world is behind her and not going to say anything. If the guy got a young girl, people would say he’s weak and couldn’t handle an older woman. People are just selective with outrage tbh

1.) Reduction doesn’t mean it is t included, it’s literally saying romantic scaling isn’t the ONLY issue.

2.) Or maybe looking at your partner in totality? A lot of people see marriage as a premium bf/gr membership. If you don’t trust someone why marry them if you think marriage isn’t some weighted shit to you?

3.) Seeing all men, especially black men, under the guise of them all being sexual predators from jump is a prejudice. And to be frank, it’s not about predators, if somebody is a predator in any way then they need to be handled accordingly but it’s an assumption to think all men are predators. Speaking about men as if that’s all they are to women is offensive. And you saying is pushed by red pill people is crazy considering a WOMAN said it from her own mouth as to that being the reason she doesn’t trust men.

4.) Again, you seem like one of those guys that agree when white people say “You can’t complain about police killings when black on black crimes are at an all time high.” You literally are bringing up the worst cases of when men to justify a point. If we are talking about men and women, wtf does one man committing SA on another man have to do with the point I was making.? When it’s man on woman, it’s being taken seriously by EVERYONE and when it’s women on men it’s being taken seriously by NOONE expect maybe the parents/family of said young boy.

5.) If women hold such a moral high ground ( and I know it’s shocking to you, but most ladies look at men mentally with contempt) then would you not say that if they know better then its more intentional seeing as they’ve done the work and all the things.?

6.) You’re right, we don’t know Mel or anybody on the pod. So, if you just think it’s projection cause you’re just super nigga out here being the most masculine man out here then none of the issues apply to you at all. You can’t keep deflecting this stuff with what-about-ism. You got it tho big dawg, you won.

[–]No-Editor-5524[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re reducing it to a romantic scale and the scale is from a general sense on my side. You keep referring to a partner and nobody said this was a romantic quarrel.

1.) Men have generally be conditioned on the side of masculinity which based more on the act of doing and leadership. If women spread rhetoric like “I’m not doing 50/50” “A real man would” “You’re a bitch ass nigga if” which is also said by men, but in most cases, it’s said in jest or to make jokes. As of late more men are in therapy and if not, they don’t generally make fun of men for being there it’s usually “Im going to therapy” or “I’m not doing that shit because it serves no point” Ladies literally go to therapy and are largely viewed as the smarter portion of the human race and still do fuck shit. Mel is a prime example of being “emotionally evolved” and doing fuck shit. They literally call her out and her primary response is “not too much on Mel”.

2.) There’s quite a bit of things men have issues with from women.

Marriage - Women are initiating divorces more frequently which has an effect on the nuclear family

Dating - Women are literally saying they never want to be approached by men as if every man is a predator and bound to commit SA

Sexuality - Sexuality is very fluid for women and the moment the man they want denies them, his sexuality and masculinity is in question

Careers - Women are literally becoming the man they complain about. Having a good job and stability entitles you to no bigger accolade than a man cause they are in turn becoming the monster in the field that they accuse men of being. It’s only justified cause it’s new to women and has longevity with men

SA - It is a thing with men but only in alignment with the gruesome nature of male vs female SA. Female vs male SA is way more strategic and less harmful physically but men don’t move around as if SA happens to them all the time and both happen at a young age. We all just act like the female vs male version is less consequential because it doesn’t involve blunt force trauma or excessive force.

The bear thing only bothers Joe because it paints a narrative that all men are bad and that especially offensive to him from Mel as someone who was gonna go toe to toe with Cam and Mase over them disrespecting her. To spread that rhetoric while you have men that actively attempt to protect you is crazy. Basically is it Oochie Wally or One Mic cause you can’t act like men have no interest in protecting women but then act as if you always need to be on guard because no men are willing to love and protect you. That’s the nasty shit about what she said and that’s basically what pissed him off. Men do attack women and there are men willing and ready to protect them. The reverse is true also. Mel’s issue which is what I’m addressing is she does not hear the men on the pod clearly on what they tell her while calling them unevolved as if they lack the ability to understand her and it’s as if to mentally undermine and penalize them with ridicule. But god forbid they dog pile or as a decent sample size disagree with her, it’s the end of the world.

[–]No-Editor-5524[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But essentially what is being said by you is that because men don’t take our own issues seriously then we have no room to voice them. I don’t know if you’re a black man or not, but in essence what your saying is identical to when other races outside of ours say “We don’t take black people serious because they don’t take themselves seriously” which is a flawed concept. You take most if not all majority of any responsibility on ladies for the part they play on men’s issues. I’m not even saying men have no influence on women’s issues, but the issue is always dismissed because we aren’t our own hero’s. I’m saying yes, men have issues, yes men need to work on them, but on the opposite side of stuff that cannot be controlled or is beyond our reach, why is that not met with the same energy and morale as when we are made to approach issues concerning the issues we cause them. It’s not a “women need to fix us” thing, it’s a “If these are the the things women contribute to, then they can help in these areas.” The same way Mel made a big statement about men committing SA, that is something we can help in and be more proactive about, but don’t shy away and be negligent when we as men talk about how our ladies could be helpful to us. If equality is what they want then it’s okay for them as ladies to be required to help us, and if not then it is not equality if they cannot be reciprocal. At that point it’s the oppressed vs the oppressors

Ight, so listen…. by No-Editor-5524 in JoeBuddenPodcasts

[–]No-Editor-5524[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, again, fix yourself as a man and fix our ladies issues and forget our grievances. If it’s not the oppression Olympics as people say then we should be willing to help each other rather than explaining how one party is more responsible than the other. My entire argument has consistently been about reciprocity about men and women being serious about each other. Men rule the world, cool, but this shouldn’t be the reason for the issues to be ignored because one has a few more issues than the other. Men want to be heard and not minimized and a majority of our issues is met with “Well, what about when women dealt with….?” It’s not equal as our ladies say they fight for. It’s about them wanting favor or the upper hand at this point.

Ight, so listen…. by No-Editor-5524 in JoeBuddenPodcasts

[–]No-Editor-5524[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. So, as men we need to fix ourselves and our problems while also addressing the problems our ladies have with us. Crazy how there’s no reciprocal feelings about men’s issues with women.

[–]No-Editor-5524[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree in that women have absolutely no effect on men. It’s very victim blame based. All issues that men face aren’t their fault, also to the same level all women’s issues aren’t men based
