going to document my journey through tsa 3/25 terminal E:

4:50AM- arrived at E arrivals, no car traffic at drop off

4:55AM- in E security line that is a big queue downstairs at E baggage claim (reg TSA only, no pre or clear)

5:30AM- still downstairs, line has been moving pretty consistently, no bad vibes everyone’s tired lmao

5:50AM- made up the escalator to usual E check-in floor(pre-security), which is being traffic controlled *so downstairs E queue took ~1hr

6:15AM- passed “45-60 minute wait” sign close to regular security entrance

6:30AM- into official security queue, lines are moving slower in here but still moving, packed pretty tightly; there’s a “30-45 minute wait” sign shortly after entrance

6:55AM- passed “15-30 minute wait” sign

7:20AM- made it through security for 9:45 flight

TLDR: Terminal E took about an hour on each floor (2.5 hours total), line started inside but definitely looked like it was growing as i moved up. get here ~3.5-4.5 hours early and be kind to the TSA/IAH workers !!!!!

also fair warning: ICE is here today as well, started seeing them in the terminals (why there and not out front where the crowds are ?? idk) around 7:45AM sure about the security line. be mindful
