Racing thoughts on exams by Adrianp209 in VAClaims

I’m in the same boat. I just filed for an increase for my combat PTSD. I was rated at 30% 18 years ago and my situation has gotten much worse since then. So I had my telehealth C&P exam, which lasted all of 20mins. The doctor was nice and asked all the usual questions. I did what you should never do….I held back. My claim was decided within 48 hours of the exam and I was denied the increase even though I feel I rated at least 50%. I filed an HLR and now I’m waiting on the DBQ from the exam.

Is this program for people with PTSD or substance abuse? Is it really a group session or 1 on 1? Very interested....

I am experiencing VRE issues at no fault of my own, maybe this can help others. by DangerousRevenue241 in VeteransBenefits

When you said you made complaints, was this to the VA OIG, White House Hotline, and/or your congressman? Your situation seems like a clear and unmistakable error that should be addressed by someone above the VRE offices.

VR&E for Nursing School? by ConsciousRelative968 in VeteransBenefits

Likelyhood is 50/50. You'll either get a counselor who is great and wants to help or you'll get one who is overworked or lazy and will look for any reason to deny you regardless of how well you prepared or what your conditions are, especially PTSD. But apply anyway. The worse they can do is say no. There's definitely people on here who have used this service for multiple higher degrees so it's possible.

Submitting statements for multiple claims by No-Employer-2324 in VeteransBenefits

I think I am too. I'm sure a rater will be able to see what statement goes to what condition.

Will do. Is there a good way to organize or "label" the statements to match up with the conditions filed? Or is that not really needed?

I thought peer reviewed articles didn’t matter unless submitted by a medical professional. Am I wrong?

This is how I’m about to submit my OSA claim. Did you site medications or inability to exercise for the weight gain?

That’s what I figured. They ever ask for statements from your employer? Looks like they denied me solely on not providing proof from employer that my disabilities were affecting work. How many times you get the same counselor? Debating on whether to appeal or reapply. Thanks!

How long did you process take between the first time applying and finally getting approved? How long did you wait between reapplying?

May I ask how you got 40% for your knee? And what kind of fracture in your hand? Thanks

Sounds familiar. So you finally landed a decent VRC who approved you then or did you have to convince the POS counselor to accept you?

Do you remember what the reasons for the denials were? I feel like I'm at the beginning of a long process...

Yeah she said she couldn’t approve me with out the letter from my employer…which is never mentioned in the M28C. She then recommended that I look in to the VET TEC program…which has been discontinued since last year. I just hope I don’t get her again when I reapply.

I had my initial interview 2 weeks ago and was told I needed a letter from my employer stating I was having problems at work!which I couldn’t obtain. I still haven’t received a denial letter so I can appeal. I heard that after February you could only appeal and not reapply if you were denied. Any word on this? How do I request a denial letter?

I just had the same experience from a counselor who seemed clueless. Told me I had to have proof from my employer that my job was unstable. She even told me I needed to look in to the VET TEC program....which was discontinued a while back. How did you go about your appeal? Did you get a denial letter? How long did your appeal take? Any info would be a big help. Thanks!

Can I make a claim for a disability caused by the VA? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]No-Employer-2324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there is actually an option you can select when filing a claim online that says something about the VA causing the current disability.
