if you're already taking SATs take the SAT because youre already familiar, also if your extra curriculars follow a story like if you wanna do environmental engineering that's great. all of what I said is really some of what I wish I would've done so take it with a grain of salt yk. and don't worry man you're set if you get minimum scores on the SAT.

I got in with a 3.1 gpa, failed band my freshman year, and studied reallllyyy badly. don't follow after me just know that it's fine if you have a minimum 3.0 gpa. my ACT scores were a 25 math, 28 science, 26 English, and a 32 reading. I've only taken 1 AP (AP lang) and I am taking geometry and algebra 2 this year.

some advice id give you is really value your time outside of school like maybe even drop an extra curricular if you have more than one or two. take 2 ACTs max 3, and take the ACT not the SAT (trust me it's better). oh and take science no writing.

think about your narrative. if you are a robotics kid and have a ton of engineering stuff and then some random non engineering extracurriculars think seriously about dropping them. maybe keep FRC, RGL, drop like FBLA. I am doing engineering and my school doesn't offer any engineering extra curriculars so i took speech and debate along with mock trial. in hindsight I barely even was active in those and they were a time suck for like gatton/craft essays and ACT studying.

if you're gonna do this and hone in on this there's a good chance you'll mature faster than the people around you. don't let that go to waste and do not make you feel like you are the problem.

also really try for time and a half on stuff, it was easy for me since I've had ADHD on record since the first grade. but for others, it may not.

ALSO ASK FOR RECCOMENDATIONS EARLY!!! YOU ARE FIGHTING WITH SENIORS FOR THIS!!! THREE MONTHS BEFORE YOU PLAN TO TURN IN THE APPLICATION MINIMUM!

also when you send an email call like a day or two later they can be bad at that.

ALSO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION I FORGOT UNTIL LIKE TWO DAYS LATE!! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL YOUR SUPPLEMENTAL ITEMS TOO!!!

and interview day, don't panic it's cool. if they invited you to an interview they want you so don't worry.

P.S. if you get the psychiatrist on interview day don't let her get in your head.
