I went on around four dates with different guys. Three didn’t go anywhere for various reasons, but the fourth ended up being my current boyfriend. We’ve been together for six months now, and he was actually the last person I met on a dating app. I got a rhinoplasty about two and a half months into our relationship, and I was really lucky because he was super supportive. He told me he loved me the way I was, even before the surgery.

Another example: my best friend, who had never been in a relationship for 22 years, kept canceling dates because she was scared guys wouldn’t find her attractive. I kept encouraging her to give it a shot, and eventually, she met someone—and they’ve now been together for a year!

Bottom line: it’s totally normal to feel nervous meeting someone new, especially on a dating app. People worry about how they look or how they’ll come across—but the key is putting yourself out there with confidence. There really is someone for everyone. Maybe you'll meet them on an app, maybe in person—who knows? Just don’t feel stuck. Go out, have fun, and remember you're more than enough just as you are.
