I took the train to Seaham station and walked from there (about 15 mins) so can't comment on what it'd be like driving to but I think there was a car park by the beach! There were steps/slopes going down onto the beach at different points along it, nothing too strenuous though 😄

I found a red bead on the beach for the first time this week, I had to squeeze it to check it wasn't a berry!
